I second this. The price of memory sticks is stopping me from buying the system. If the system came with a decent storage system, I think the current prices would be acceptable.

Regardless of if that Vita is actually too expensive or a good deal at the the current price for what you get in the system.Perceptions is the key if the reception among that public is that it is too expensive regardless of if it is or not that is gonna be a problem.Look at the whole ps3 has no games and the fact that it was not true and still how long that persisted.It is up to Sony and their marketing team to try to mold the Vita's image and it has not been coming across to favorably.

No, you got to realize that people is not a central organized entity that agrees to not buy vita. So if with these games and this price "people" are not buying vita, it's not people's fault.

It doesn't need a price drop, it needs marketing. Every single vita thread here except the official one shows how little people actually know about it. Most people are 100% wrong in their opinions about it and seem stuck in their naive views. So Sony needs to market it.

BUT to market it they need to decrease prices on the system and memory cards. A price drop will help convince people the vita has "changed". Even though it already was a great system they need to act like it was only ok but is now flawless. People are fine spending $300 on gaming, just not when they think it is a rubbish system. The price cut is needed to make it feel "new".

It depends on if they include memory cards or not. Right now the vita is too expensive because the console + memory card puts it over 300. Then you have to buy a game.

I think they are going to launch a new marketing campaign for it when PS Mobile hits this fall. Show it off as an app device and then bam, it's playing PS3 quality games. Really a commerical showing people playing it and talking to eachother while playing different games or browsing the web. Skyping eachother, things that will make people think, oh that does a lot and it's only $250?

Just bundle a 4gb card in with the system.
