multiple factors for me:

My 3DS fulfils my handheld needs

I'm a student and while I'm not short of money, I don't feel I can justify spending that much money on a system with only 4 games I am interested in (Soul Sacrifice, Persona 4 Golden, Gravity Rush and Tales of Innocence R)

It's already almost too big to be considered a handheld console. lol

By the way... I think there is no real reason to not get it. Except for 1) not having enough time to play (but that's a good reason for ignoring any console). 2) not liking its games (... I still think it's almost impossible not liking any of those games).

Because... for what it offers, the price is very good. I'm not talking about 250. I'm talking about 200 with one game and one memory card. Brand new. Or even cheaper. You just have to do a little research. Who cares about "official prices". Vita is a lot cheaper than 250. Almost everywhere.

Not enough games? What? There are a lot of very interesting games already out and a lot of (apparently) good/great games are coming. Soon. It's not even been six months and Vita already has so many great games. So... the games are there and the price is right.

Every gamer (except for handheld haters) should get one. :)

face buttons for me are too small and the right stick- X situation annoys the karp out of me.

Price isn't really that big of an issue for me. I have a 3DS and there's a bunch of 3DS/DS games that I still want to get. The Vita is slowly building a library that interests me but it's competing with other platforms that I want more (Wii U, PS3, PSP).
If I was richer I would already be a Vita owner as I'd get every console at launch if that was the case.

i chose "I have no interest in Portables" because i don't. but if i was to buy a portable to carry along side with my smartphone (that i game on,angry birds, but just when i am waiting in the dentist), vita would be my choice.

BTW - that cross buy thing is very good.

Ok let me teach you something about polls that is vital for them to be representative. The options have to be mutually exclusive. Many of the options you give dont exactly exclude other options.

My reason personally is: Not enough games and too pricey.

Only 2 games i would get if i had it would be Ys4 remake wich isnt out yet and Wipeout 2048 wich im unsure of cause its said to have atrocious load times.

250 for the system + 50 for a memory card = 300 + games... for one that might not be a very good version of the series and a short but fun RPG? Yeah, not gonna happen, at least for now.

I also got a 3DS, wich has fire emblem coming early next year, most probably monster hunter and even nintendo games look appealing (luigis mansion and paper mario).

None of the above.

No UMD compatibility/No passport program combined with not-a-full-library of Vita-compatible PSP games on PSN, would be my choice.

I like the Vita, it such a nice console hardware-wise. But it's too expensive and considering here it's double priced (for example the Vita will cost around 500 dollars) and it has no game i'm interested in it it's hard to me to convince myself to buy one.

So I will play with my PSP and 3DS until Vita gets a nice price drop.
