Expected a much higher drop for 3DS hardware. What's keeping it high? There's no new releases.

Mario and LL I guess. It's still dropping, but I expect the boost to be sustained for a few weeks.

lol, it's over 100k so the boost IS sustaining!  You're always disappointed with Nintendo, pezus.

Thanks for making the thread. Damn! no internet connection for 4 hours! damn you!

Anyways,

Boring numbers with the exception of Mario and 3DS.

- 3DS still over 100k! And passes 7mil!

- New Super Mario Bros. 2 had a respectable drop. Not lighting the world on fire as we were expecting but this game is going to be on the charts for a LONG time. Holidays will do wonders for it.

- Dragon Quest X had a typical RPG drop. Should hit 500k in 2 or 3 weeks. Great numbers for an MMO and it will sell slow and steady at least until the WiiU version drops. SE has to be happy with these numbers.

- Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry no Wonderland 3D would've been closer to a million had SE not dropped the ball at release. Hopefully it will still make it to the 3DS million sellers club.

Obon is next week right!?

Do they still make PS2 games? Seems odd that it still sells rather well for its age.

Maybe it helps the 3DS if it hits eight million before the PSV hits one million.

Let's see how many weeks it takes until NSMB2 drops below 50k units in weekly sales.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Not bad for DQ10 and Wii, but expected them to be higher. NSMB2 sales are disappointing. I really hope digital sales are huge because it's starting to compare terribly to its bigger brother...

29th July 2006 10 119,420 -20.5% 2,572,449

Basically, NSMB FW > NSMB2 3 weeks of sales! Its amazing how the game kept selling 100k+ for 13 consecutive weeks!!!

Next week I think is Obon so everything should be up.

OH GOD! DQX drop was horrible. Wii drop was understandable, and still above PS3 for one more week.

@Rol

On a world wide level probably not for another ten years.

Wii and DQX doing better than I expected. Not a lot, but ok.
NSMB2 and Onitore on the other hand. I don't think Nintendo is very happy with that performance, and doubt digital sales are big.

With NSMBU coming this holiday, expect NSMB2 to sell even less, or kill U numbers. Next year will be interesting to see if both have good legs or if one of them dominates the other.

Don't forget that the DS had 2 million more hardware units sold more than the 3DS at the same time. Also take in series fatigue.
