If this is true, then they not only piss on third party companies, they also piss retailers taking sales from them.

There's nothing stopping third parties from doing this to. If they don't its their loss.
|
If they do its their loss, as Sony don't have to pay themselves to develop games on PS3 or Vita, as they are the platform right holders. Tell to the third parties that they have to develop the same games on PS3 and Vita, and they have to give one of them free, and I'm sure they can't be happy with that.
Sony does this to try to make Vita a viable platform in the long term, they should be worried with its future if they do so. It's a bit of an uncompetitive behavior, but they seem to think that they need to do so. To me it's like if the first parties sold their games 10-15 US$ cheaper than the third party games.

This has nothing to do with "having" to make a vita version of a game. There's nothing stopping EA from making FIFA and Madden cross buy games except their own greed. And if another game gives a better deal and sells better thats called capitilism.
|
I'm just saying that third parties can't be happy with this, and can kill their long term plans for the platform. If third party developers don't make games for the Vita in two years time, remember this as one of the main reasons. It's Sony's interest that third party developers are happy with a healthy ecosystem, undercutting them isn't intelligent.
Do Sony fans think in the long term viability of the company?

Such a drama queen. Third parties won't give a fuck. And again- they can do it too.
|
How I dare to say that there are negative aspects of any decision made by Sony, they can't be at fault, at all...
You seem to ignore a lot of things, one of them is that third parties aren't charities. Lots of them are losing money and going broke, but you are too intelligent to see the problem of giving for free one game. Sony has a much bigger implication in the long term viability of a platform and they don't have to pay royalties as they are the first party. Third parties don't have margins to give one game for free.
I'm going to give you one example of something that has just happened. Imagine that Microsoft begins to sell Windows 8 tablets, cheaper than third parties. What happens? Third parties say that they can't compete with Microsoft, as they have to pay the OS license, so they abandon their plans to develop and sell windows tablets. It's what's happening, and what can happen with Vita games. If you can't see it then you have a comprehension problem.
