You misunderstand me, I know full well about the ports, that's not the problem. The problem is that Nintendo has given no good faith for the future, there were two games at E3 running with higher spec PCs in mind and are most likely gonna look like that on the next gen set of consoles, not old. Neither of them were running on the Wii U. Even 1 game from someone would be good enough. Nintendo has a good relationship with Square, they could have had the Luminous Engine demo running on the Wii U, atleast with downgraded character models. Epic has abandoned Unreal 4 for the Wii U. Nintendo themselves has shown off nothing with their games other than two tech demos, both of which pale in comparison to next gen tech demoes (Cryengine 3, Luminous, Unreal 4). Like I know Nintendo is making a tight little machine just like the Gamecube, but put some good faith in something, they have a lot of developers use them!

" 2d platformers and Pikmin 3 (previously a Wii game etc) it should be"
Why? Who cares besides trolls?
Most people don't go on internet forums and look up if these games will be at 1080p because they don't care.
When using should you shouldn't assume that everyone thinks like you.
Game being at 720p is probably them testing the waters. Plus Ps3 and Xbox360 can do only 720p 60 frames besides arcade games. Even then they sometimes can't even do that lol.
Crytech has stated that Wii-U can run cryengine 3 "beautifully" that means 1080p and 60 frames as Pc can do that now.
Epic stated that it can run UR.3 perfectly Gears of War can only run it 20 percent. Even then it can only run at 720p 60 frames (could be less).
Nice job taking a stab at a guy for making phone games that you don't even know. Real Classy.

Makes sense. Nintendoland no though. @oni. I think he meant Wii-only owners. Surprinsingly enough, many exist :] |
How much is MANY?? Im sure half the Wii owners have bought an HD console or PC already and most of those people left dont care about those types of games anyway(the "casual" audience; soccer moms, teeny boppers, old aunties, etc.)

45mil is still enough to warrant pursuing as a market. There are kids who grew up with Wii only and will want to play some games more suited for older people.
@darknightthyatira. Did you see project CARS? It's been announced for the WiiU and looks incredible. Of course the trailer shows the PC version but it will be properly ported to the WiiU it's an important port.

I just went to check screen shots of it now, so no I didn't. And yes, that's the support I'm talking about. Nintendo needs moar.

Oh, I agree with you. Support will probably dry up once the current consoles are dead and I don't expect many next-gen multiplats to make it to the Wii U. I just hope the tech and features are adequate/attractive enough to secure some decent exclusives and make it a system that will get regular use in my household.

I dont think its 45 mil, not even close. I think its like 20 mil at most (for the Wii only owners who actually care about those ports) not saying they shouldnt pursue, because they should but its not as big as you would think IMHO. I think there are more multiplat owning kids than you are giving credit for.

:3 Look at some videos on Youtube, it looks pretty damn impressive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NSjfaSw4_M&feature=related
And I'm excited for this kind of support too, I fully agree with you. You're aware of Ghost Recon Online right?
@Oni. I don't disagree with you. Market's there tho. ;)

1. Cryengine3 runs beautifully on WiiU
2. UE4 games can be ported to WiiU
3. WiiU's GPU will be modern and be able to do the same effects as PS4/720 scaled down.
