Ummm ya...putting gauze on something if you dont need to is not a good thing. Air fixes cuts and burns.

That's what you get when you send out a woman on errands, lol.
Polysporin, it was designed to treat burns. As long as it isn't a high burn that melted your skin. Though the scar might be permanent. My mom has a few scars on her hand from getting burned by stoves.

Try and find some Oxycontin.

Trust me on this one. Run it under the warmest water you can or take a hot shower. The hotter the better imo. As someone who has gotten burnt by grease before I have learned that aloe, cold water, ice, burn spray, etc. is not as affective as hot water. No, I am not joking. Try it and share your results.

What I do with stove burns is place the offending burned area in a large glass of cold water with dissolved sugar (a lot of it).
Keep changing the water as it heats up.
It helps numb the pain, and the sugar speeds up the healing process.
