Sony focuses on new IP's and leaves their old ones to rot.
Screw you, Sony! Screw Naughty Dog, dagnabbit!

Biased against Nintendo? Probably, I'm sick of their constant rehashes and their inability to take chances with their popular franchises. Other than a bajillion coins added in every level, what's the difference between NSMB and NSMB2?
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Why does that make you sick, nobody forced you to buy it...
Does it go against your principles or what?
Good...now can someone give me a new Crash Bandicoot game!

Nintendo has created more IPs in the last ten years than Sony has and you can bet they're going to create some new ones next gen. Just a few weeks ago they trademarked, "The Last Ranger." Oh, and Unlike Nintendo, Sony can't live off old IPs since most of theirs lose popularity quickly or weren't popular enough to carry into a next generation. |
Sony will continues to make new IP's. It doesn't matter if one catches on. Some of even the popular ones die off. Nintendo characters live in realms with no serious or linear story that has no end. Its not a bad thing, but its reasons why a series like Gears, God of War, Halo must eventually end.
Also as for Microsoft Phil Spencer already admitted to AAA titles being too expensive to make as to why there arent many on the 360. Well this doesnt seem to stop Sony? A reason why I said Sony has heart.

Isn't the whole point of the NSMB series to "return to the roots?" There really aren't many places to go with something like that... Then again, I guess they could have made it "New Super Mario Sunshine," or New Yoshi's Island. That would've been cool.
Honestly, NSMB doesn't excite me all that much. I'm sure if I ever get a 3DS I'll end buying it, but in the end it's the 3D Marios I usually look forward to, and those are never re-hashes.

Yeah, it does sound like a vampire or zombie game. Could be a western as well.

I think what he's saying is their lack of new IP's is what is causing him not to buy their console. He's burned out on their IP's.
