Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony has trademarked names for two new IP's.

Predictions:

"Until Dawn" was the survival horror game for move, but will now be moved onto the Vita.

"Rain" is a sucker punch title, to release late 2013 or early 2014. It will be a PS4 title, we won't see it at Gamescom, we'll see another new IP.

Sony can't afford to make games

Yeah....sure, its called heart. Anyway, its better to have a company focused on new and old ip's rather than a company that lives off of old IP's (obviously not bad ones) and another whose first party isnt on par and depends on third party.

Obviously you want to turn this into a console war, since it's what you, Turkish and MUGEN do best, so let's go.

Nintendo has created more IPs in the last ten years than Sony has and you can bet they're going to create some new ones next gen. Just a few weeks  ago they trademarked, "The Last Ranger."

Oh, and Unlike Nintendo, Sony can't live off old IPs since most of theirs lose popularity quickly or weren't popular enough to carry into a next generation.

Rain sounds like something Thatgamecompany would come up with

if Thatgamecompany is developing it, it would be multiplat.

I don't get the point why people make it look like new ips are better games than established ones. Sony goes the trial and error method.

New ip --> flop --> new ip. (MAG, Starhawk, Haze, Sorcery etc.)
New ip --> success --> milking it like everybody else does (Uncharted 4 games in 5 years, God of War 3 major games, HD remakes, spin-offs, Resistance 5 games since 2006, now dead --> new ip)

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Stawhawk isn't a new Ip, sorcery isn't out :P

Meanwhile Nintendo trademarks New Super Mario Brothers 3, Mario Kart 8, and WiiU Fit U2.
