Why does Microsoft & Nintendo have to be mentioned? It's why I hate entering Gaming & Sales forums these days. Too many people only post to make their least favorite console lose in some stupid console war.

i hate that aswell. you get more talk of microsoft and nintendo in the damn SONY forums.

I actually don't really care WHAT forum a thread is in anymore, I just go where I'm interested in the topic, personally.

There are lots of Sony fans in the Nintendo forums, as well as MS fans. This "no non-SONY fans in the SONY forums" thing is getting a little old.

Never understood people like that. Intead of taking this news as a way to appluad one company, they use it to scorn another company. I don't understand these people's motivation.

If he's agreeing with me, then he's not referring to non-Sony fans; he's reffering to non-Sony talk. I think I should clarifiy that I'm not saying all non-Sony talk in Sony forums is bad. But in situations like this, where it's clearly a case of one party trying to belittle another company (for whatever reason), I don't like it.

And of course it happens to all forums as well.

Yeah, I wasn't personally belittling as you can tell from the civil convo with S.T.A.G.E. and Kitler. I just would like the same, that in Sony forums if belittling of Sony is not acceptable, than belittling of non-Sony wouldn't either. As such I was just taken aback by fusioncode's comment (not in an intense way, hense the short question "are you really that biased"). I didn't think the convo I was having with S.T.A.G.E. and Kitler was derailing if it is I will stop.

I don't get the point why people make it look like new ips are better games than established ones. Sony goes the trial and error method.

New ip --> flop --> new ip. (MAG, Starhawk, Haze, Sorcery etc.)

Where are the new ips this gen? in the top 100 you have viva pinata and crackdown they with 1,6 millions in sale. You cant talk about milking lol 

And dont try pull " oh but you are a sony fanboy all exclusives are good", i have 5 exclusives or something i just like the fact they milk some but they put a LOT of new IPs too. Dont care if they sell or not, the money does not go to my bank account ;)

I never said MS is not milking. Actually I even said "like everyone else" that includes MS.
Let me tell you something. I would be in complete rage mode if MS stops milking Halo, Gears or Fable, because I LOVE those franchises. And I bet a lot of people would act just like me when Sony stops making God of War or Uncharted games.

That was my main point: People love to hype up new IPs as if those titles would be good games (or better than sequels to established IPs) by default. People praise Sony for pushing new ips, but once they release a new ip, gets killed shortly after. So you liked MAG? Well you won't get a new one. Same for Starhawk, Sorcery or man other games. It is just trial and error. Again, there is nothing wrong with it.


It's become obvious why Microsoft depends on a handful of IP's at this point. If they need new games they might as well pay a third party to do it like they did with Bioware and are now that relationship has movies on to Epic. Nintendo is actually good at making games which is why I cannot understand them sometimes.

To be honest, I stopped reading through the thread after I saw the first few shit-stirring posts from various users. As I started reading more & more into the thread, the attacks started to become more & more frequent. Once I got to the DirtyP/FusionCode posts, I knew what the thread had become. After that, I started ignoring any posts with quote trees. It looked like another classic Sony VS Nintendo or Sony VS Microsoft console war. I couldn't bear what would likely be twisting of logic to fit people's argument (several posters are known for this). So yeah, I wasn't really calling you out since I didn't read the debate you were having.
