Forums - Nintendo - Will the Wii U be able to do what the Wii did not? Keep gamers interested~

This is trashy news. That is all objective. I have a PS3, 360 and Wii. I've had them for years. The Wii has kept my interested the longest followed by small use of the PS3 when ever a forced exslusive comes out on it, and I haven't hooked up my 360 in over a year.

They should rename the article "Will the Wii U be able to keep our interest here at Slashgear" to which the answer would be no as they obviously don't like the system or the company that produces it.

All I know is that it won't do as good as Wii did.

That's all we can tell so far.

Today’s gamer expects to not only have high-quality graphics and a deep library of titles, but also a host of entertainment options, robust online gaming, and a nice selection of digitally delivered legacy games.

I got here and could not read anymore.

No, we can't.

I'm not saying it will sell as much as Wii, but no-one can say with absolute certainty that itwon't unless they have seen into the future.

I think it will. As long a developers dont release half assed games for it.

Why'd you stop there?

Anywho, I actually decided to read the OP after you posted this and... this guy.........

xD

"However, Nintendo has proven to be the last in the gaming space to realize the changing landscape. The company wants us to believe that the old days are still here. They’re not." Yeah, they totally aren't trying to make it better, or they haven't stated that NSMB2 will be downloadable, or people don't really like the eShop so far... Sheesh.

It won't sell 100 Million Units.

I'm saying that with absolute certainty. (But I'm wishing it isn't true.)

It kept me interested. I still play it and have a few games to get before I call quits on the console. I usually play daily on it expect when I feel the need to go through pokemon fever and don't play it again until I'm over it.

Oh wait they meant the weird folk of people. Oh it will never please them. Unless they like ports of course and zombi u.

Sales wise, i can see where you are coming from...but library I think it will be better than the Wii's and will keep the attention. And in the end isnt that more important than sales. At least to gamers and not shareholders

Well, to me the Wii didn't exactly raise the bar for the Wii U, so I'll almost certainly enjoy it more no matter what.
