Lol, Nintendo+Apple wouldn't even be a competition.
And this isn't even supposed to be a troll post! It's kind of like a fact...

Yep. My thoughts exactly.

Ok guys how about if both Google and Apple teamed up to make a console against Sony+MS and Nintendo+Valve
What do ye think would be the out come in that?

Google + Apple = Casual AHOY

Sony + MS = YESSSSSSSSSS

Nintendo + Valve = obsolete, two different methods, two different styles of marketing, two different styles in design, wouldnt fit well. One would make the other one obsolete, weak, etc.

I agree, Nintendo and Valve would be awkward...

Ye guys really think so?. Id imagine Nintendo would be great for making the console and Valve to do the online part etc.

I still feel it might be awkward in a way... just as awkward as Sony and Microsoft...

Why would Sony and Microsoft be awkward?

Why would Sony and Microsoft be awkward?

Because they're both companies that want full control of everything?

That's why. I thought we went over this several times....

No, we've never gone over this.

All companies mentioned would want control. What makes Sony and Microsoft any different to Nintendo or Apple or Google or Valve in this respect?

Anyway, I explained why Microsony could actually be quite fitting, and why Nintendo and Apple would be less so in my reply to you just before this one, which you haven't addressed:

"See I think Microsoft and Sony is a much better combination. They both have weaknesses in areas where the other company excels. E.g. Microsoft with XBL, marketing or Sony with it's extensive first party. What does Apple have to benefit Nintendo and vice versa? IOS support on a Nintendo handheld seems to be about it. Money and marketing isn't an issue for Nintendo, Apple's first party is non-existant, they've never made a home console. (don't mention pippin :P)"

I never mentioned one X+Z Companies would be less awkward... I think all would be.

I don't believe that, I think you've just changed your mind a little.

Anyway, you take back your initial post? If not, reply to my last post because I'm bored waiting for GDS2 to download.

I don't think any of that is going to happen.

MS has windows.
While Sony does work with MS in laptops, they work a lot more with Google in phones, tablets, TVs, TV connected devices etc. Its far more likely we'll see Android on PS4 than Windows.
Nintendo and Apple always want control and therefore they could never partner. Neither would give up proprietary control. Nintendo also was part of the creation of Android (pre-Google purchase I think). So its also more likely WiiU would have Android in some form than iOS.

However, Android OEMs and Apple will be major players in this next gen. That I am sure of. I also think it may be a good possibility that we'll see these devices include Valve and/or Onlive or other 3rd party content supplier.
