All those digital codes make me think if NSMB2 can even reach 600k physical sales first week. Or are those codes counted?

3DS obviously went down this week. But for a few weeks (?) before a new release it's still quite amazing.

I'm quite happy with Kirby, though! It topped out those charts and it's not even a new game, just a Collection! I'm happy Japan loves Kirby even though he's neglected everywhere else.

I really don't go by VG Chartz japanese software numbers.

The point is, the DS game outsold them all combined.

Yeah I don't know why but VGC shows Ni No Kuni PS3 having very great legs. We might never know the truth.

But we both know Ni No Kuni DS was overly shipped and received big price cuts only a couple of weeks after release and came out during the holiday season so it's not a very good comparison. They actually only made one shipment for the game and have yet to sell it all :/

Actually we will know, but it probably won't be until sometime after the end of the year. Famitsu/Media Create posts their top 1000 list of the year at that time. Ni no Kuni also released during the Holidays (Nov.) The PS3 version was also heavily discounted, I saw it in the 3,000-4,000 yen range. Considering that it's MSRP was over 8,800 yen that's quite a discount shortly after release.

The Ni no Kuni special edition PS3 is also still available for cheap. I just saw it the other day for 25,000 yen. That includes the custom gold slim PS3 (160gb) as well as the game. A standard 160gb PS3 (with no game) also sells for 25,000 yen.

Those numbers are less than NSMB and NSMB Wii openings in JP. Ill admit, I aint done much research... But Id have thought a new, 2D Mario would perform quite similar.

Honestly thought people were lowballing, to say they were surprised by sales is there something Ive missed?
