The Russian team was on fire today. 6 gold medals, 12 medals overall today, if I counted correctly. Very strong showing in week 2 after a slow start. Meanwhile they surpassed their medal count from 2008 (78 atm vs. 73).

The German men's hockey team just defended their 2008 gold medal. Well done.

The US team is at exactly 100 medals at the moment. 2 more will follow this evening.
