Forums - Nintendo - Wii: A truly great console

I will keep most of my Wii Games. (I might trade in one.) But my Wii is getting traded in for the Wii U. GameStop has those special "Trade-Up" deals, that's why.

Wii was a great console though, many great games and many fun times.

Try not to shed so many skin cells then it wouldn't collect so much dust.

D'awww, what a cute little comment from a cute little person, very cute.

I'll probably go with the same decision with my Wii that I had made with my Gamecube. I'll give it to someone in the family, along with a couple of the games I'm not as big on, that they'll enjoy.

This decision is made easier by the fact that, after a while, my sister (who I gave my Gamecube to) decided she didn't really want it anymore, so I have it again (somewhere - I'll have to find it).

Mind you, the question is whether or not I'm OK with losing some of the data I've accumulated - particularly, the save files for certain games. After all, there are some that are locked to the system due to having online components or other things that can't be copied (like pokemon). I'll have to make up my mind on that question, a little closer to Wii U release.

Yeah, letting it collect dust was definitely a mistake.

Posting about it on an internet forum as though the fact that you don't play a game system is important is a much bigger mistake, though. But then, I don't even believe you that far - I'm betting you're just trolling, and that in fact, you just aren't willing to admit that your Wii got a fair amount of play time. That, or you didn't even get a Wii, and just think it's funny to go with the old, dated meme.

Haha, you guys are unbelievably pathetic, the question was simple: What will happen to your Wii? And my answer was just as simple. Whether you believe me or not is up to you, don't really care whether you're just going to deny my fact because it doesn't fit with your opinion.
Oh and stay away from betting, you're obviously not very good at it.

No, you didn't answer the question.

If you did you wouldn't have mentioned that after only a week of having it it collected dust. You would've said something like "it will collect dust."

Now now, no need for that. The Wii has plenty of great games available from retail to VC. If theres literally nothing at all on the system that you wanted, why buy it?

Right, your profile says you're playing DKCR.

The Wii is the best 'second' console I've ever owned. That is a compliment, not a backhanded insult (I swear). The games I enjoyed on it, I really enjoyed, but there just weren't enough of them to keep me coming back as PS3 games have. I'm going to keep my Wii, I've already given it to my parents - my mum likes playing Animal Crossing and my dad likes Tiger Woods games, so it's nice that they're getting some use from it. I'm sure I'll play Mario Galaxy & Kart on it from time to time.

Ninpie buddy, I clearly said it's been collecting dust already, so what will happen when WiiU releases should be clear, it,s basic 2+2 friend.

At Ninpie & Carl: I didn't buy the Wii at launch, so I bought a load of games when I got it, the only one Wii game I enjoyed slightly was DKCR, and that was also dissapointing due to control system. I suspect I will enjoy the WiiU a lot more.
