Forums - Nintendo - Wii: A truly great console

I'll play it quite a bit after the Wii U launch as I have tons of Wii games that I've yet to complete, or that I want to play again. I still play GC games (recently played some Eternal Darkness and it's still awsome) and I use the HBC once in a while so my Wii will be out of the closet for a few more years, that's for sure.

I still need to play metroid prime trilogy which I never got round to getting also

I really enjoyed my Wii in 2007-2010 (SSBM, MKWii, LKS, MP:Trilogy, twenty-ish games, plus twenty-ish VC & WW games.... and MHTri). Since then, even if I bought Xenoblade (played a bit, did not liked it), I haven't reinstalled it permanently. So it will probably collect dust.

Well yeah I'm keeping it, what the hell else am I gonna do with it? It's worth nothing now.
Stupid piece of junk, "great console"? Get out of here. All the shitty shovel ware? Having to upgrade your controllers all the f***ing time, then messing around with batteries for them. Crap console, no "must have" games on it. Maybe a couple worth checking out, but I can't think of a couple that Wii owners would brag about. Under powered, gimicky piece of trash.
I bought mine for Smash Brothers, played the game heck loads and loved it. But really it was a 1.5 gamecube game, we all used the gamecube remotes and the online was laggy. Didn't really make use of the Wii's features.

Overall it seemed like really all of the games released on the platform were dumbed down for retards to "play".
I'll keep mine plugged in for Retro City Rampage but after that I guess I'll stash it away.

Wii was my most disappointed console this generation and of the Nintendo systems. Wii U's purchase will be determined based on what Nintendo can offer me. I'm not buying ports, nor am I interested in a lot of Nintendo's 1st party. Really all comes down to what JRPG devs do I suppose.

I've had the same controls since launch, all though a bit immature in parts thats your opinion if you haven't got anything good to say about it don't comment this thread was for fans of Nintendo who enjoyed the console!

Nintendo and PC gamer

Keeping it, like mostly (I'm still missing the SNES) all the previous ones that I have collected over the years... ;)
And I'm still missing some games that I want to acquire.

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

yes Great Console....

What I will do: transfer all my saves to the WiiU and put it in my closet when I want to play GC games.

What will probably happen: My mom will do spring cleaning while I'm gone and give to a family friend or goodwill like she did with my gamecube.

don't waste time
