Real exciting news, probably gonna go on the eshop way more often now

This is VERY big new in light of Nintendo's previous relations with 3rd parties in regards to download games and their seemingly unbreakable unwillingness to change. They've made large strides in the last year though.

The article the link links to has ZERO backing other than the fact that the DQX app will be free. That is in no way confirmation of the ability to make free games. I think it's likely that's just a partnership deal. DQX will be Nintendo's biggest Wii title this holiday so them giving SQENIX a break with the app doesn't seem too far fetched.

I guess we'll see eventually though....

That is great news. Hopefully this new take on the eShop will give us games during drought season because costs for devs are less.

I would love for this to be true. eShop has been bare for months now. I have hoping to download anything, but leave eShop with no purchase.

OMDog! This better be true. I've been saying for a while now how bare as all hell eShop has been. I've been wanting to purchase something for a long time that I keep trying to download games I had already downloaded as it turned out. I can't say shit, though, or else I would not have discovered Mighty Switch Force and Samurai: Sword Destiny
