It is a slow period of sales- I know what you mean about it slowing down in general though; I remember when there were at least 3 diffferent people posting WW-UP at the same time because the threads were so popular?

The site is far more NSFW it would seem as of late.


From my perspective, you're exaggerating or your memory is skewed. There were tons of NSFW threads back in the day. Pretty much every Wesslewoggle thread was NSFW. There was a thread asking how 'schlong' you were. There was a 'pornify the above game' thread. There was the 'Have you ever tossed someone's salad' thread. There was a 'have you done anal' thread. And this is just the threads big enough to stay in my memory. There were probably a lot more around that I forgot. I do agree though, these past few weeks, the NSFW threads have been concentrated around the same period, but I would say its a site trend. More just a coincidence that people made these threads within the same week. This is just a short-term coincidence. It'll probably only last a week or so. A man once told me it's the long-term actually defines the situation. These short-term trends come and go.

It may well be coincidental. but at least then there were sales threads as well. Now...well, I dunno. Looking at the main page...7 (?) are game related, the rest (13) aren't. That's an issue for a games site, let alone a sales site.

The Vita is doing abysmally. It's chief competitor is outselling it by almost an almost 3:1 ratio, and even it isn't doing that well.

As for software... sigh. At least there's the latest annual sports game to perk things up. And the 3DS, despite hardware competence, has pretty poor software sales. Why are people buying 3DS's anyway?

Obvious problems needed adressing a long time ago... The management didnt step up and sort it out. They were too busy protecting staff stealth trolls or promoting gamrReview.

Funny and sad at the same time.

Some Meh sales, for the systems and the 3DS will prin probably ending up in dropping below the PS3, but oh boy when the week of the 28th reaches, I will expect very big numbers and quite some few 3DS titles on the Global Software Chart, with games like NSMB2, Art Academy, Kingdom Hearts and Onitore. Heck maybe some other 3DS titles will be revived and sell better. I see PS3 selling pretty much the same, during the coming weeks and the Vita, will probably as always go high in sales and then drop quite much in sales.

Theatrythm numbers are pretty disappointing
hw wise slow week but not really surprising
the XL announcemnt had obviously a negative effect on 3ds sales...August is going to be an interesting month..

Which is why a new model+price drop will help.

Nope, sales will be lower than last year even with Price Drop for both Xbox and Ps3.

Which means that the slim and price cut won't do anything...? They could provide a good boost but not be enough to lift sales over last year still. I'm thinking what the slim will really help with is the sales after the holidays and the longevity of the PS3.

So you think Xbox and Ps3 will price drop so they can last longer ? i think they should be already dead and Next Gen should come out this year already.

What? This is not about when you think next gen should start. This is about what Sony and MS think are best for their products.


The only thing that can influence Sony and MS to release their next consoles sooner is if the Wii U becomes a huge success and has a massive launch.  But at this point the Wii U is for the most part is a big mystery since it still doesn't have a firm release date and no launch price.

Judging by these sales..... I expect 3DS to shoot up and sell slightly less then last year. PS3 to be on par with last year (within 1mill). 360 to sell less then last year. PS vita too shoot up a little during the holidays. Also think Wii + Wii U to be about same as Wii last year.
