From that bullcrap review:

"The problem with the latest Kingdom Hearts is not a lack of new ideas but that almost all of them are awful, and that's before you even consider the script."

Pros: Superb presentation and some of the best graphics and 3D effects on the 3DS. Plenty of content and mostly new worlds. Lots of role-playing customisation for the committed.

Cons: The combat is shallow and repetitive, with a still incompetent camera. The Dream Eaters and switching between characters are terrible ideas. Highly confusing story. Beat.

I was irritated to see that 4/10 score when I checked metacritic (I don't really care about metacritic scores all too much, but it's a good place to see peoples reactions). I knew from the start that the score was way too low to be unbiased. I sense a huge amount of bias without even reading it, and skimming through I don't see the justification for such a low score.

"Dream Drop Distance might not be the second proper sequel that fans of the series are clamouring for, but there is an awful lot here to enjoy. The action is quick, the characters that populate your journey funny and endearing, and the spectacle impressive enough to make you go ‘wow’ on more than one occasion."

I was thinking the same thing about BBS, IMHO NO portable is enough for these games, XL or otherwise. Thank goodness PSP had component cables. 

OT, i would have been perfectly happy if it was just as good as BBS, but if it is indeed better, im in for a treat( the demo didnt give me the impression it was better).  Good thing they delayed Last Story i wasnt sure which one to get, ah hell i would have probably gotten this game anyway

that moron had absolutely no place reviewing a Kingdom Hearts game.  Basically "I don't like the preachy happy tone of the game and the story is confusing."  lolwat? if you can't stand that shit, then you're not the audience, end of discussion.  you don't sell sports titles to an RPG fanatic, am I right?  

anyway, yet another poorly written, poorly justified poor score.  Should not be counted.

Bitch, please. The combat is awesome and outside of the camera not being zoomed out a little like in KH2 (not really sure why they've changed the camera to KH1 style/focused on the character you're controlling) the camera controls are completely fine.

I kinda agree. I wish more handhelds let you play on a TV screen and since I think PS2 games look fine on my HDTV I bet this game would look fine too. Though I feel that the 3DS XL does a pretty good job of being an alternative to the big screen while still having games be contained on a handheld.

XL is still a poor substitute for having a straight up big screen TV to play around with IMHO. BUt to each his own. Im skipping XL because i just got my 3ds and i actually like the size of it, I want my portables to be portable
