Forums - Gaming - ZombiU could be headed to Xbox 360

Not sure how it would work logistically with Smart Glass. Surely you'd need both tablet and controller and having them separate would just be annoying. If they do a port they'll probably take all the tablet features out.

ps3+vita - zombi (?)

ZomVi

That's not too bad of a name!

Too bad it won't make it to the Vita.

This is exactly what I am saying. The usesage of the smartglass is intrusive to actual gaming. The Wii U is the perfect combination of both.

I agree...

Smart Glass actually seems like it would make the game less enjoyable...

Have a nice day...

This has been known from the get-go. They said that practically at E3.

I'm skeptical that it would ever go anywhere else. One, in order to use Smartglass, you have to have multiple devices. You'll need a controller AND the tablet, and swapping back and forth as much as ZombiU will require is going to be incredibly tiresome.

And two, the game is WiiU-branded. Sure, they can remove the branding, but it's not the same then.

It sounds like it was said at e3 becaus it appears to have been said at e3.

This is a print magazine promoting its e3 issue on its website, of you go back to the original source.  Thus, this seems to be something rekindled rather than something new.

The biggest obstacle for Smart Glass or PS Vita is lag since they are not directly connected into the same system.  And in this type of game, a delay could mean (game)death.

True but the is still no reason it "Couldn't" be done on the PS3 and 360 and even work well.

The way i see it when your using the WiiU pad for the touch stuff like unlocking doors looking in your back pack etc your not using any other controls for the game only the touch screen. So for it to work on the 360 its only a matter having your Phone/Tablet beside you and picking it up to do that stuff. think of it as adding more realism to the game, as in real life you would have to take the backpack off your back, and look in it get what you need xD . The PS3+PSV combo should be able to do the same only without having to pick up the tablet :D.

The DS has already shown us why the Wii U has the upperhand on the Smart Glass. The Vita is more a competitor in that arena because it can act like the game away from the console. If they can find a way to dual integrate the game into the PS3 and the Vita it could work.

If true, at least the Nintendo system is getting the port this time.

There is no way smartglass could do what the Gamepad does. Its not combined with a controller and would make the game far more complicated.

Smartglass is only going to be good for extra game info, as the sole control option, or as a secondary screen you only need to utilizes when you can actually put down your main controller (as in Madden menuing/gameplan).

It remains to be seen whether there's going to be any sort of lag between Smartglass and the 360, Nintendo have patented the system that allows the GamePad to be lag free. Secondly, there isn't any sticks, buttons or triggers on a smartphone or tablet, which is why they're crap to play games on. Can't see it working tbh. Vita and the PS3 would be a better fit, but I'm unaware of whether there's any lag issues when using the two together - the PSP and PS3 Remote Play was bloody terrible.

I guess it depends if the Smartglass sells many units

It doesn't need to sell many uniques as it is just one of many free apps for your smart phone or tablet device. Where it would be different from the experience on Wii U is that you would have to put down the X360 controller to use tablet and then back to X360.
