Forums - Nintendo - There are “loads” of unannounced third-party Wii U games

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has revealed we'll see brand new third-party Wii U games later this year when Nintendo reveals the console's price and release date. Iwata told The Independent that while we've seen some of the machine's third-party line-up, there's more to see:

I think some of these projects have already been announced at E3, but there are other games in the works that haven’t been announced yet and in the autumn, when we announce price point and timing of the launch, we will also be able to announce some more third-party titles.

Official Nintendo Magazine editor in chief Chandra Nair says there are “loads” of third-party titles on the way. Nair shared the tidbit during the publication’s recent podcast. He said:

It’s actually a moment I can’t talk about, because my favourite bit of E3 was finding out about all the cool third party stuff that’s coming for the Wii U, which they decided not to talk about, which was awesome. So I just want to say yeah, there’s loads of third party stuff coming which I reckon we might see at Gamescom, or we might see at TGS, but its coming. That was my favourite bit because everyone was saying ‘No one’s bringing out anything for Wii U’, and I saw some cool things.

good

talk is cheap and I'll believe it once they are announced.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Iwata had mentioned loads of unannounced 3rd party 3DS games during an IR session at the beginning of the year. We're still waiting for them...

Yes in the West. In Japan we'll have Project X Zone and Senran Kagura Burst, so it's not that bad. Still, I think that Nintendo has yet to prove anything when it comes to 3rd parties : less talk, more games. The clock is ticking, they can't afford to stay quiet much longer or else a failed launch looms ahead...

They can't prove much about a console that's not even out yet. Though I do agree that they need some type of Wii U designated conference like they have done with the 3DS.

Heres hoping.
