Iwata had mentioned loads of unannounced 3rd party 3DS games during an IR session at the beginning of the year. We're still waiting for them...

The only thing we got so far is Castlevania

Yes in the West. In Japan we'll have Project X Zone and Senran Kagura Burst, so it's not that bad. Still, I think that Nintendo has yet to prove anything when it comes to 3rd parties : less talk, more games. The clock is ticking, they can't afford to stay quiet much longer or else a failed launch looms ahead...

I'm not sure if you are ferring to 3DS or Wii U but 3DS gets tons of 3rd party games in Japan.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Nearly at the end of the first page and not a single 'Just Dance' joke. I'm glad but also disappointed as it's going to happen and it's going to sell millions.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

That was mostly about WiiU. It's true 3DS gets many 3rd party titles in Japan, but few of them seem really exciting to me. Not to mention that there hasn't been any news of Professor vs. Ace Attorney for a while. I'm starting to get worried, it's THE game I bought my Japanese 3DS for.

No it won't. The reason devs don't flock to Nintendo is becasue Nintendo doens't wipe theirs arse's with money like Sony and Microsoft do. Nintendo made there dislike of buying exslusives known clearly. Sony and Microsoft dropped 10's if not 100's of million into getting third party titles on their systems.

People weren't avoiding the system beause of power. If that were true the PS2 and PS1 would have had the least amount of games in their generations. People were avoiding it because Nintendo wasn't providing the kickbacks, incentive and freebies that Sony did.

Are you comparing the power of the Wii vs PS360 to PS2 vs GC/Xbox? Who are you trying to fool here..

Well, Just Dance Wii U was already confirmed! Get hype!

Of course the Wii U will get a lot of games announcement in the month before launch and afterwards. A lot of developer are still confused that they missed a chance in the Wii market because they had no fait in the new console, they don't want to make this mistake with Wii U again.

But even now the Wii U has the biggest launch line-up a console ever had.

It's an interesting situation with the Wii U. Many developers and publishers clearly still have their irrational dislike of Nintendo (let's be honest, there's really no other explanation for developers and publishers actually sabotaging their own Wii products - it happened repeatedly), but with the new system, all of their usual arguments for why releasing games on Nintendo systems isn't a good idea have been erased. They can't claim that it's too weak or unique (control-wise) for the games they want to make, they can't claim that Wii U owners are too "casual" (not prior to launch), and they can't claim that Nintendo products will overshadow their games.

Some developers and publishers have learned from their mistakes. Many of these saw success on the Wii, too, once they learned a bit. Ubisoft is the prime example, releasing a clearly-much-higher-quality lineup on the Wii U than they had on the Wii at launch. I suspect that Sega's lineup will be stronger than it currently looks - with both the Sonic racing game and Aliens: Colonial Marines having been shown off, I suspect that there is more on the way, likely including a new Super Monkey Ball (the Upad is a perfect new way to play that type of game) and probably also including Yakuza 5 (being a Japanese-oriented title, it wouldn't have been shown/announced at E3 - it's set for a "December 2012" release on PS3 in Japan, I expect it on Wii U at the same time).

Warner Bros Interactive is also supporting quite well, with Injustice, Arkham City, and Scribblenauts all already confirmed (plus LEGO City Undercover, which is a WB franchise being published by Nintendo). I expect a Game Party will also show up, as will Lego The Lord of the Rings. It may even get Guardians of Middle Earth, which is being developed by Monolith (not the Nintendo one - Monolith Soft - but the other one) - it would be an obvious thing to do, given that it's an RTS, and the Wii U is pretty much made for RTS console gaming.

The real wildcards are Activision and EA. Both seem to be saying the right things, but then, they've done that at various times during the Wii years, too.

Meanwhile, the same has been said about the Wii for three years and there really isn't a whole lot to show for it in my opinion. Its kinda like the guys at the gym who always say that they "could deadlift 500 pounds if they wanted to and trained for it".

I liked Crystal Bearers :(

It did a good job of incorporating the Wii's controls and was a 'lighter' RPG than the main series.

I wouldn't have bought it if it were XIII because I would have wanted to play that in HD anyway.

I guess it's going to be different for the Wii-U, though. And none of the Crystal Chronicles games really set the sales charts alight.

To what are you referring when you say "the same"?
