Microsoft makes software for Mac. I just don't know if there are any Microsoft Games Studios games on there.

Turn 10, Bungie, 343i, LionHead - how were this studios turned to crap if they are making great games over the years ? Also Epic and Remedy wich are partners with Microsoft.

Talking about this well i see this being done by Microsoft so they get Bungie game/ cods exclusives for next gen aswell blizzard amazing games.


Microsoft is an incompetent game studio manager.....perhaps the worst ever.

 

ENSEMBLE, ACES, DIGITAL ANVIL, FASA.....all good studios killed because of Microsoft.

Then look at RARE.....just a pitiful shadow of it's former self.

Bungie....they got smart and got the hell away from Microsoft before it was too late.

Microsoft is incompetent......no one can deny this.

Activision would do wise to run, not walk, away from any parts of a Microsoft acquisition.

 

errr. Sony also closed a shitload of studios, insomniac run away from them etc... and they still a good manager.

Try Harder.

 

Insomniac was never a first party studio.....they just chose to make Playstation games.

Didnt the Playstation 3 lose Sony all the money they made from the Ps1 and 2??. Id say if MS is an incompetent game studio Sony is an incompetent console maker.. (Btw guys this is in no way how "I" feel about Sony and i love my PS3, but im just showing how something can be twisted)

 

Your assertion isn't factual nor is it reasonable.

1.  Who told you Sony lost all the money they made from the Ps1 and 2?  Can you give a link to that?   I'm sure I already know the answer.

2.  Yes, Sony did have heavy expenditures......for BLURAY.

Sony came into this knowing they were gonna lose a few BILLION on the PS3 because of adding BluRay.  Which means, Sony lost the money on purpose...........for a purpose. 

Obviously Sony does way more than just sell video games.   Now, was it all worth it?  You'd have to ask Sony, but it's a safe bet to say that the jury is still out on it, so your assertion is rendered moot.

But for Sony, having to to "lose billions", in this particular case, and is the case in many business situations......it's simply the cost of doing business.

 

 

Microsoft's situation is clear.....they are an incompetent dev studio manager.  It's clear as day.

I dislike Microsoft's method of acquiring publishing rights for the 360, but logically speaking, they fit together like hand and glove.

You say that yet you cant see how you your self have done the very same thing -_- .

1. Well to be fair its their whole company thats losing Money. But i remember reading an article awhile back that Sony lost all profits made from the PS1 and 2, but funny enough i cant seem to find it now :-/ .

2. Heavy expenditures and bad management together had alot got to do with it.

Doesnt change the fact that Sony is bleeding money so just like you i could call them an incompetent company for making mistake after mistake all this gen, lets just hope kaz can get things back on track hey?..

But what your saying is also half truths and made up lies to fit your bill. can you show me where Bungie was begging to get away from MS??, and if they wanted to get away so bad why did they offer MS exclusive first choice for any games they make?.

I understand the point you're getting at so I'm not challenging that, but I think this is just a common misconception.  Sony lost all the profit from the PS2 era, but on the whole their gaming division is still very much in the black because of the PS1.  It would take a few more years of big losses from them to move them into the red.

On the other hand, Microsoft's gaming division are still in the red on the whole because of all the losses they sustained with the original Xbox and during the launch of the 360.  They're turning that around now with nice profit margins from the 360, though.

So again, I do see what you're getting at with the whole twisting thing, just not particularly the best example :P

Yeah, I can link unsourced stuff too.  If Sony lost $1.2 billion in 2011 then that's where I've gone wrong, sure.  Going back to 2007-esque losses though is a big step and I'm not quite sure how they could have achieved that.

SCE lost in FY2011 94.7 billion yen, and that is 1.2 billion US$. So SCE has lost in this generation all the money they earned in PS1 and PS2 generations, and that's not a misconception.
