The Family Guy advert at the top of the page. It's really annoying. I don't mind ads in general, but this sucks. It starts whenever I accidently roll my cursor over it and it starts this loud and intrusive video. And everytime it does this, it lags my browser for some reason, especially when I'm on my mobile. And when I'm on my PS3, the ad completely crashes my system. So I have to turn off Javascript everytime I come to this site. Please implement a more subtle ad in place of this madness.

Get AdBlock if you use Firefox (though I think they have AdBlock for Chrome as well).

It's a miracle worker - I get no ads for YouTube as well!

Though I can't blame them for the ads... they gotta make money somehow.

The problem would still exist on my phone and my PS3. Besides, I shouldn't have to block it. It shouldn't exist. Everyone hates it, evidenced by the poll results. I lived with this madness for months thinking it would go away, but it hasn't. I feel its time to speak out.

Yeah but the PS3 and phone experience isn't that great anyway haha, but yeah I can see what you're saying. I just went on this website on Internet Explorer (barf!) and the Family Guy ad scared the crap out of me, yeah it's pretty bad. But I can't blame VG Chartz, they have to make money. This website gets a lot of traffic so they need to make $$$ to keep it running (and to make it profitable).

Didn't VG Chartz used to have a premium service? Do they still? If they do, that and AdBlock are the only solutions cause VG Chartz likely won't be getting rid of their revenue stream anytime soon (not that I work here, but simple business sense).

I don't have a problem with all the ads, just this one. Surely, there could be a less annoying ad in place.

I agree 100%. It prevents me from being able to scroll over on my screen so I either have to refresh or try to log into it through some past link or something. really frustrating. Now that you mention it, it is the only ad that has ever done it to me. Now I will go out of my way to avoid all things family guy. From now on, I pledge to turn off any tv that I see playing family guy! I also pledge to henceforth also hide all family guy dvds in stores the one place no one will ever find them, behind all the back seasons of Ellen.

I haven't seen it. Though i can imagine how annoying it could be.

With Firefox you almost never see ads. Its adblock alone makes it the greatest browser.

If you have Firefox just download the Adblock add-on. I am sure Chrome also has a version of Adblock or an add-on like it as well.
