I see you have Australia and ANTARCTICA on your poll, but not NZ (which is where I am from). Guess there are more people from Antarctica on this site, than from NZ.

Last time I checked New Zealand isn't a Continent.

The continent Australia includes NZ ;D. Also called Meganesia

Never heard of it. I think you have mixed a number of words - there is a Melanesia, also a Micronesia, Eurasia but no Meganesia

Edit: not sure if you were kidding.

NZ isn't part of Meganesia, though. Strictly speaking, New Zealand is on its own continent... but the continent is submerged, so we don't really consider it one (it's kind of like how Tomato is actually a fruit, but we still consider it a vegetable).

Its not really the same. Australia is the continent and the country. AUSTRALASIA or OCEANIA is the region including Aus, NZ and the pacific islands. I understand from the comments that Australia was meant to include NZ, but its not the same. Also, I am originally from a pacific island (Fiji) so that was also not included.

I'm pretty sure we were actually taught this in Elementary School. xD It was even in our text books that Australia could also be called Australia & Oceania.

Last time I checked, 'America' isn't a country

fauzman is right, the continent N.Z is in is usually called Australasia, or Oceania (I think there may actually be slight differences in the territories of those two, but they both include Australia and New Zealand)

Born and raised in Bristol, England. Enland is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I have family roots to Northern Ireland. I am proud to be British and drink a stupid amount of tea. Im not a fan of the EU and would vote to leave it in a refferendum.

I was born in the North of England in between Liverpool and Manchester. I enjoy where I live for the most part, the surrounding area can be little rough at times and the people from Liverpool with the scouse accents are awful xD. But I love the local scenary, state welfare and relative ease of life here :)

I have family in Western Super Mare, they live near the large Waitrose, I do hope you know where that is :P

I am from London, England. My whole family, aside from a couple cousins and my brother who were born here or in NA, was born in Lisbon, Portugal or Funchal, Madeira (Portugal)

I'm from Croatia. From a small town ~70km NE from Zagreb to be more precise.

What I like about my country: "free" education, "free" health insurance (dental included), nature, weather, history, traditions and language.

What I don't like: too "religious", too nationalistic (especially in south), people (a lot of narrow minded folk), economy, politics....

Anyway I'm hoping to finally move abroad next year. Cross your fingers for me :)

I'm from southern Brazil which is quite different from the Brazil you guys know from the news. Most of the population constitutes of descendants of italians, germans and poles opposite to the african/portuguese mix of the rest of the country. Despite most of the region having been colonized only a century or so ago or even less, we're the richest region of the country, naturally. It's the only part of Brazil where there is an organized secession movement nowadays, though with little hopes of success. We have one of the most pleasant and less disaster-prone climates in the planet. Our people aren't overtly religious but also don't fall for the new atheist / PC crap that runs rampant in Europe. The soil is perfect for agriculture and rich in many kinds of ores.

The bad and the ugly: two thirds of what comes here from the rest of the country.

Neither Australasia nor Oceania are continents. They are two different geographic regions, each covering a subtly different set of countries, including some that are considered part of Asia (which is a continent).

The continent that contains Australia is called Australia. Not Australasia, not Oceania, but Australia. Sometimes, it's referred to as Meganesia, but that's not the common name for it.
