Forums - Sony - Pre-Order Bonuses and Release Date for PlayStation All-Stars

Alright, I'm about to do some exercise and watch a movie. When I get back I expect to see Snake and Jin Kazama in PS All Stars.

I think its gonna be more than 20. But as long as the characters represent a diverse amount of games and play styles it will be ok. Brawl had 35 characters but 3 star fox characters, all clones. As long as they don't do that 20-25 should be enough.

I don't understand why people are getting so up in arms about there being ~ 20 characters, especially when comparing it to Brawl.  SSBB has 35 characters, but ~ 10 are clones of other characters, either direct clones (Falco) or loose clones (Mewtwo).

So that leaves 25 'unique' characters in Brawl, hardly more than PSABR has announced so far!

MewTwo is not a clone in Brawl, he is, infact, not in the game at all.  There are only 6 clones (7 maybe, if you really want to stretch the definintion)  in Brawl, although most are so different (only sharing superficial similiarities in the B moves) that the only heavy clones are Toon Link, Gannondorf, and Falco.

You also have to remember that pokemon trainer is 3 characters, and Shiek/Zelda and Samus/Zero Suit Samus are also entirely different characters, so there are 39 different move sets in the game.  In anycase, 35 is still waaaaaay more then announced for PSASB so far.

Also, Parapa is the best character announced so far, and the one I'm  buying the game for.

Hah, I called Jin, was Heihachi in the end. Looks GREAT. And a nice reference with that rocket and everybody strapped to it for Heihachi there.

You want colour? We got colour!

You know, you're right about the number of characters.  The list I was looking at was crap, and I didn't have my copy of Brawl to hand (and apparently, I confused the character roster with Melee).  I count 6 clones as well.  Still, 6 fewer 'characters' than everyone brags about.

I get that there's extra movesets in there too (zero suit Samus would be another), but there's no guarantee we wouldn't see that in PSABR's 20+ characters.

Idk, I just don't see the fuss about number of characters.  I use about 4 characters on Melee/Brawl anyway, and between my friends we maybe have about 12-14 used between us.  Choice is always nice, but I don't see why everyone is so up in arms about 20+ !

And while I was typing that, Toro. Lovely, lovely Toro. Ahh...

Hmm... I suppose he makes the most sense of out of the entire Tekken roster.

4 ≈ One

I'm so sure we'll see Lightning. She was in the Michael commercial after all!
