oh I Heavily disagree about the bolded. They have quite a few very strong female characters they can use. Here are some

J Tate: PRIMAL

Jeanne D'Arc

Nariko: Heavely Sword

Kat, Gravity Rush

Tati: Rise of the Kasai

Ellen

ALL these characters will be much better additions than Chun Li as these characters can bring some truly unique styles of combat and variety to the game. I like also the fact that these are not overly sexualized nor damsel in distress types of characters. 

The only two I heard are Nariko and this Gravity rush chick. Never any of those others before. Compared to Chun Li Lara Croft or Yuna they are nobodys

well that was not your statement that I replied to was about tho was it. You said they don't have any good female characters which is flat out wrong. All these characters are much more interesting than many in mainstream media. The unique characteristics will also serve to make the game much more fun than using someone like Chun Li. 

And also characters like J Tate are much loved in the PS history. She has a lot of fans. If you check the GAF thread on the game you can see so many having her in the most wanted list. Same goes for jeanne DArc...that game is considered to be one of THE best games in the RPG genre. It was one of the best games on the PSP as well

I don´t see how this characters would make much more fun then Chun li? And why are those Characters more interesting then let´s say Morrigan from Dragon Age: Origins or Bayonnetta?  And I am sure Jean D´arc was one of the best games, thats why they don´t released it in Europe. It was to punish us wasn´t it.

Maybe you love those characters, or just want to proove how wrong I am. But none of them appears really interessting to me, and according to the success of those games they don´t appear to many other people as well.

I'd really prefer no more actual fighting game characters. I really don't care for Heihachi already, but Chun li to me seems too over used. She's in SF (obviously) and MvC. Granted those are only 2 games but you understand what I mean. She's common, people know her and her moveset. I'd like the spot to be open for someone more unique.

? what would I gain here by proving you wrong? nothing. I'm just making a statement and I'm disagreeing with you. Out of the ones I listed only tati (and maybe ellie) are the ones that I have yet to see fans asking for. I have seen many asking for the others. Did not know Jean Darc was not released in EU. For shame. If you like RPGs you should check it out

As for Chun li, please no. Already had her in so many games and her fighting style just will not bring that much variety to gameplay imho. We already have Heiachi for martial arts...I guess you can argue Heiachi is mainly fists and Chun li is kicks or something. But all characters I listed can easily have a set of unique attacks that set them apart. I have already seen and can even guess what chun li's attacks will be like in this game and I don't want it. Akuma would be more interesting I think but I don't think any of the female characters from SF will make more interesting characters than the ones I mentioned.

Please don't play the sales card here. It's something I hate and I wish 'gamers' would use less of, even on this site. Your initial statement was sony didn't have any good female characters which is a flat out lie. They have plenty and with a lot of variety as well. Strong female characters who can go hold their own and from games of good quality, the only thing really matters. Personal preferences aside this is why I am glad to see characters like Toro, Fat Princess and parappa in the game because they bring something special to the game. And again, don't take my word for it and go look it up yourself, there's a lot of demand for characters like J Tate. 

Lets drop that this is leading nowhere.

Dunno how much to trust these, but speculation is always fun.

Interestingly enough some were speculating more about the yellow and silver car. They think because the cars are facing each other they are meant to be rivals and yellow and silver corresponds with the characters hair color. Cloud and Sephiroth mabey?
