No idea for MGS4. The only thing i can say is that on amazon.fr, the game was not very impressive during his first week, and is actually not impressive at all. About the 360, i can also say that the two versions of GTA 4 in GFK charts have always been charted very close, and GTA 4 360 is always at rank 5 during his sixth weeks, what was never happen before.

As many as Ninja Gaiden 2 and Rock Band Xbox 360. Dunno if it is good or bad.

It seems like the 360 price drop has had a good long term affect in Europe. Before PS3 was outselling 360 3:1 in France, but it seems to be a lot closer now, even taking into account that the numbers are rounded off to 100k. 360 increased quite a bit in sales in Italy after GTA IV was released, so maybe we're seeing the same in France. Being quite a bit cheaper than PS3 seems to have helped sell it to GTA fans.

PS3 probably needs a price cut in Europe this year, but from Sony's last financial report it seems that they're more interested in profitability now rather than installed base, so we may not see one.

Anyway, I'll leave Sony to worry about that, it's my day off and I'm off to the beach.

Really the numbers given by sony are new recent numbers (rounded), and the number of 26 milion wii is given by nintendo france (so not sony france), and it's their problems if the number is recent or not. About that, they said more than 26 million.

All these numbers have been given at IDEF, an event in France about videgames.

Gfk has speaken: GTA 4 numbers in France until the end of may.
