It seems like the 360 price drop has had a good long term affect in Europe. Before PS3 was outselling 360 3:1 in France, but it seems to be a lot closer now, even taking into account that the numbers are rounded off to 100k. 360 increased quite a bit in sales in Italy after GTA IV was released, so maybe we're seeing the same in France. Being quite a bit cheaper than PS3 seems to have helped sell it to GTA fans.
PS3 probably needs a price cut in Europe this year, but from Sony's last financial report it seems that they're more interested in profitability now rather than installed base, so we may not see one.
Anyway, I'll leave Sony to worry about that, it's my day off and I'm off to the beach.
