Dead Space relies on a lot of cheap scares, whereas Amnesia gives you a true sense of being powerless, and being genuinely scared of your surroundings

Enjoy the scare! It's not real, and you can't really get hurt - so enjoy it. It's like a roller coast or haunted house - it's for fun.

I remember some freaky times with Alan Wake - then walking out in the real world on the day 400+ crows happen to be in the trees around my car - freaky! That eerie silence as they watch you walk, with the only very rare wing flap or a distant 'caw', all the while looking in the mist for some guy with an axe.

Anyway, you are inspiring me to get this game!



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

you get scared to easily. I was never scared when I played the game,because I've played and seen so many horror type things,that I'm just used to it.

I remember playing Dead Space a while back in the dark. The girlfriend crawled in the room without me knowing and crawled behind the sofa I was led on. There she lay in wait for 5 minutes and then leapt over the sofa whilst shouting. The result, I screamed like a girl and nearly shat my pants.

that is in so many movies^^ not only horror. ok not exactly the same but...someone is breaking in a house, someone in bed hears it and goes in the room with the broken window and muddy footsteps on the ground and asks "hello, is there someone" haha. who would do that? i would try to leave the house or some would take their gun but being loud to let the criminal know where you are? and do they expect the criminal will say "yes here is someone, mr. criminal"
