I bet we're not going to see any burning effigies in Arab streets of Burma's leader. The Muslims of Burma are, essentially, too black for the (state) religious leaders of the Middle East to care about them, just like when they've ignored African genocide of Muslims.

this is why intelligent life forms from all over the universe stays away from Earth. We can't even coexist with eachother. its a damn shame.

One really has to think about the Buddhists in all this, here. However you slice it, you're not being a good Buddhist if you're lynching people. Most other religions should (under their own tenets) take issue with this as well, but Buddhism especially.

just because you established your morals from your religous experience doesn't mean that is the only place in which morals can be developed.  I'm athiest and I have a stricker set of morals then most anyone.  i would never kill, rape, steal and it has nothing to do with fear of god ... if anything the lack of belief in an afterlife is why i have such a high value for life for myself and everyone else.

Exactly. Unless you're a nihilist or social darwinist, atheism should lead to a higher respect for your fellow people in the human sphere, because if this life is all we've got, then taking it away should be bad, certainly less so than killing someone who will go on to be duly judged and get what they truly deserve.

I don't say all tha athiest are bad people but he can do what he like his emotions can beat him to do bad thing but when someone understand his religion and think about the punishement of the god he will not do bad thing.

despite what I see  in Burma i can say buddhism is a religion who encourage killing people we can't judge a religion with the behavior of its a small numbers followers the same can be said for other religions for exemple in Islam you should read the coran and you will not see an a sentence encouraging killing innocent people they say if a person kill another people without any cause is like killing everyone in the world.

Greed is good. I'd say jelousy is more the problem. 

It's really hard to pity them when their religion in certain areas of the world is a ruthless source of legalistic oppression.

HOWEVER, having said that, these are to be assumed innocent people. Even though it's hard to have pity when a lot of those who practice the religion I don't see eye to eye with, especially when it gets fanatical, these are just people... I wish people would forgive the harm those that raped caused, and end the cycle of hatred abruptly.

Easier said than done, because these issues, though petty, strike very close to home for some of these people.

Practice love today, hopefully it'll pay off. Love your enemies, love those you hate.
