It's really hard to pity them when their religion in certain areas of the world is a ruthless source of legalistic oppression.
HOWEVER, having said that, these are to be assumed innocent people. Even though it's hard to have pity when a lot of those who practice the religion I don't see eye to eye with, especially when it gets fanatical, these are just people... I wish people would forgive the harm those that raped caused, and end the cycle of hatred abruptly.
Easier said than done, because these issues, though petty, strike very close to home for some of these people.
Practice love today, hopefully it'll pay off. Love your enemies, love those you hate.
