I haven't really played many RPG's, even if they are one of my favorite genres. So I don't have that big of a pool to chose from. Which leads me to choosing Pokemon Sapphire Version. 
I am going to be SO alone with this one, but I would have to go with Risen. I have been hooked on this game for the last week. It's tough. I still don't have an armor, I am barefoot and wearing rags after at least ten hours of game time. But I am loving it.

The legend of dragoon or Vagrant Story. Both great games.
Chrono Trigger for DS. Love it. Best game ever. Multiple endings! New game plus! Memorable characters! Time travel! Plot twists! Awesome game.

Disgaea.
FFX for me. It's not my favorite FF, but it's best timesink for me. I could spend hundreds more hours playing Blitzball.
Tough to say. A game like Final Fantasy 6 is amazing, but it doesn't offer as much value as some other big-name RPGs. Probably Diablo II. Then I can beg Blizzard for infinite expansion packs.
Super Mario RPG
It was the game that introduced me to RGPs
Besides if I was stuck playing it for the rest of my life, I would probalby be able to complete the 100 consecutive super jumps in a row side quest.
