Good job Spurge. I'm almost there too!

This seems to be a problem almost anywhere that lets any/most users create threads and have a relatively large user count.  

In exchange for quality, you may need to give up some freedoms.  Works the same way in real life, sadly. 

I remember back in 2009 looking at the 10K+ posts users, me with my measly >1K posts count and wondering if I'd ever get there.

Now, I just don't care for post count anymore. Not only I don't have the same time as I used to have, I also have less disposition to post as well.

At my current rate, it will only take me 38 years to hit 20K.

You'll definitely get better with time, don't even worry about it. By that time people will probs forget the dumb stuff of the early posts
