No you can't.  If you could, then game reviewers would give games reviews based off of demos.  A demo doesn't give you the full experience.  

You don't know if you want to keep your system because you don't know if its games appeal to you.

This train of thought will very quickly grow cyclical...

Anyhow, just buy it, play it, and sell it if and when you dump your system. It'd be like a rental that way, especially if you flip it sooner rather than later.

I've never understood this mentality at all. I haven't sold any of my related game stuff since 2006.

If a game's bad enough, I'll sell it back and put that towards something else, but in general I agree with you. I think I've traded in about ten-to-fifteen games over the past decade, and some of those were PS2 games I had left after losing the actual system.

I don't see the point of trading in systems or games normally, but at the end of the consoles life cycle, like, a year or two after the next's launch, I normally sell all my games and the system as a down-payment for the next one; bar a select few games which I really like.

Okay, I have the game now and I've played it a little.

I like it so far, and I like the idea that I don't have everything from the start. There are many things I need to unlock and that is an incentive to play more. One thing that can be a potential problem is that carrying the 3DS while playing might shake the screen and may cause you to mess up so you might want to keep it stationary if you can't do it while holding it.
Also, the sliding triggers aren't as easy to do as they seem. You can't just simply do a quick flick, you need to make sure you slide otherwise it may not count as a slide but rather just a touch.
The game is pretty fun though, and it definitely isn't as easy as it looks.
