Done it twice so far. Want to do it a few times, but I've had a bad reaction one way or another when I've given blood. The last time, the nurse ruptured my vein (I think), and it got really, really bruised... Like the size of a football.

I have donated a few times, but over the last year and few months I have been donating plasma because they pay you for that. I was never a big fan of needles, but I get stuck twice a week now because $60 a week makes it worth while.

The Canadian Blood Services have some ridiculous policies that prevent me from donating. I would have become a regular donor if this organization actually made sense. Oh well, it's not like we ever have to deal with blood shortages < / sarcasm>.

I wish we got paid for it (here in Canada), we do get pretty much a full meal for free whatever you eat :)
