Forums - Politics - So, who here will avoid Oreos because of a rainbow one produced for ad campaign?

They should actually make those. The frosting is the best part, so 6 layers of it would be amazing. Don't really care what color they are as long as they taste the same. As far as people getting upset over Oreo supporting gay pride, get over it. They might say they will never buy Oreo again, but no one can resist them.

That's the beauty of it. With all these social reactionaries boycotting everything, soon they'll be forced to accept the future if they want to watch a hollywood-produced movie or buy food products (aside from Chik Fil-A)

Don't forget In and Out Burger... who happens to make the best burgers in the country.  (Actually I believe it was ranked number 1 overall fast food.)

Don't know what it is, but Super Christian people make some BAD ASS fast food.  Maybe they use better ingriedients.

That said... it's not like liberals don't boycott the crap out of stuff too... I mean, you mentioned it yourself just not to long ago in regards to Glen Back.

As for the OP.  If they ACTUALLY made Rainbow Oreos i'd probably be actually more likely to buy some.  That sounds badass.

Then again looking at the graphic... prolly not... too much cream, i was thinkin it was gonna be like a rainbow swirl Oreo.

Still, no issues here.

Five Guys all the way. Or are we strictly comparing fast food (which Five Guys doesn't quite qualify for).

Five Guys counts as fast food.  Really, I'd say In-Out beats them hands down though.  Five Guys only saving grace is they have all that customization.

Have you eaten at an In-Out?  Thought it was a west coast only thing.

Well and wait time... In-Out Burgers are ridiculious in that there are ALWAYS 25 people infront of you seemingly no matter when you go.

Yeah, i have never heard of them, but even going 20 minutes west of here over the border into Ohio and you find a lot of suddenly-strange chains.

Ha, have to go a lot farther then Ohio, I know cause as you may remember i used to live there.

The closest in and out burger to Pensylvania is Arizona.

Not anymore they have a location in Arlington, Texas about 11 miles from where I live in east Fort Worth.  They soon will have 15 different locations in North Texas once their newest loaction in west Fort Worth opens.

Sonic > In/Out Burger > Five Guys

Five Guys have defiantly lost their novelty, maybe because i'm from northern va and the company originated here.

Sonic is NOT > Five Guys as far as getting a burger goes.  Five Guys has better burger and fries.  Sonic has a wider menu.  Both are good, but for burgers and fries, Five Guys is superior.

Sonic is real good for what it is, and fun to visit.  Red Robin is also good, for just a burger.  But, if you were to do Five Guys all the time, it would get dull.

Sick of people shoving gay pride crap down people's throats. It's so stupid. Are people so low that they have to add a political message to cookies now? As a christian, I will never recognize their partnership despite what the government claims.

Christian religion doesn't mean you have to hate gay people. This image is from the Christopher Street Day in Berlin, it shows the truck of the christian gays:

http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Datei:Huk.jpg&filetimestamp=20060724085955

The banner on the left says something like: man-on-man, lesbian, confident, christian

(Beware, some of the photographs in the german CSD-article are NSFA - not safe for americans)

No. The bible clearly states that being gay is a sin. Any christian who defends it as if it is not a sin is either not actually a christian or very mislead and ignorant of what their religion actually states. Sure, you can be kind and nice to others with different beliefs but you must draw a line and the sand and not stand up for something that is explicitly stated as wrong.

The Bible also speaks of adultery, fornication, and also divorce (in a number of contexts) as sin also. If you want to go hardcore, no one is supposed to divorce period, for any reason. This is one reason why the Catholic Church grants annulments, and not divorce. You are free to do whatever preferences you like, but when you live in a pluralistic society that doesn't play Jesus first, then you need to decide what you will do.  You are in no place to impose anything on anyone else, and those lines in the sand you draw are for yourself alone, because no one else will honor them for themselves, just in regards to you.

And you would be hard pressed to speak of the Bible declaring anything that is not an act, or intention, or thought, as sin.  There is no sin by someone being something.  Someone can be a sinner for doing things, but not being something.

The question here is: Will what they did make you boycott Oreos?  Also, if you say yes, will then go forth and be involved with an active boycott of Oreos, to make your point heard?

No I'm not boycotting cookies over a stupid pr stunt. It just irks me that a cookie brand would take a political stand for no reason especially one as stupid as this.
Why can't a cookie company just make cookies. -_-

They want sales.  By pandering to certain  groups, they believe they can get sales.  It is all about business.

That looks like a spool of yarn or thread to me.  As a cookie, it looks like something one would jhave a hard time biting into.  And if it is just colored white stuff, then it would be pretty gross actually.  Now, if the different layers were different flavors, that could be interesting.

I find it annoying being slammed by all this pride stuff everywhere I go. Gay people need to chill out with their parading around and showboating and just be more relaxed about their sexual preferences. That's the only thing that bothers me.

It's hard to be relaxed about your sexual preferences when people won't quit trashing you for them.

This  x1000

To hell with gay pride parades. Before, they made sense because they were against discrimination when discrimination was high, but now today. they're just here to stick their disordered sexuality down our throats

Ah, man, so many burger places I wanna try out.

All we get in the UK are the basics - McDonald's and Burger King. Literally cannot think of another burger chain.

I heard Jake's Way Back Burgers in the North East were pretty good, as well. Though, they tend to be pricier and take longer than your typical joint.
