Five Guys have defiantly lost their novelty, maybe because i'm from northern va and the company originated here.

Sonic is NOT > Five Guys as far as getting a burger goes.  Five Guys has better burger and fries.  Sonic has a wider menu.  Both are good, but for burgers and fries, Five Guys is superior. 

Sonic is real good for what it is, and fun to visit.  Red Robin is also good, for just a burger.  But, if you were to do Five Guys all the time, it would get dull.
