Beating Demon Wall in FFVII (first play through), I was under level and it was before I understood to make more then 1 save. Good lord that thing pummelled me good.
Hmm, pie.

These. Something about the main char dieing, (even though in Zack's case we knew it was going to happen) really got to me. You play them for so long, hours apon hours, days, weeks.... months. Learn what they're about and why they're doing what they're doing. You go through so many struggles with these characters and end up getting somewhat attached in a weird way. Tidus and more so for me, Zack were just so fun to be around that when they died, it actually felt like losing someone I knew in real life............... Although not as bad but it was the first time a "Video Game" nearly made me cry, worse when i was like 5, Lion King style when Mufasa dies.

I've only done the Avatar fights (summons for Summoner) on FFXI, and I've only got to do the Ifrit Primal fight on FFXIV, and I haven't done Garuda yet. I've heard that she's a bitch to fight, though. Here's what to expect with Ifrit:
And here's Garuda:
Of course on FFXIV, if you defeat Ifrit and Garuda in the Hard battles, you get weapons. Ifrit weapons:
Garuda weapons:
And let's not forget you can fight...MOOGLES!
Moogle weapons:
I'm showing you this because us, as players, can carve our own destiny in these games and experience these memorial fights. Plus get rewarded with weapons. And unlike in FFXI, which you get to summon Ifrit and Garuda, you are unable to in FFXIV yet (and it will be different summons as the Primals can only be summoned once in the new Version 2.0 game). |
Wow, those bosses look pretty epic. I wish I had the time to dive into MMORPGs.
Crossing those hills, those beautiful hills...

I hated this part, because the main Characters name was Zidane.
Wow. Damnit Happydolphin. I just started listening to that song and I cried a little. Such a great game.
