Wait, what? When did Darth get back? Did I miss something?

Anyways, Andrew and Emma seem like much better leads and the humor of the movie looks great.

:O :/ I do not know many more ways to show surprise at this. Many months ago, or at least two months ago. There was even a giant welcome back Darth thread like we had for you Sir. :)

@ Thread

I was not too enthusiastic about this movie at all. I really enjoyed Tobey Maguires portrayal of Spidey. But I guess it just takes me a while to get used to things.

The recent trailer that I just watched on the Boob tube changed my mind! It showed a bunch of Lizard man scenes and Spiderman doing some sweet action sequences. Movies do not need to be pumped full of non stop action like The Avengers was, but if it is a super hero movie, it should still have plenty of those types of scenes.

My body is now Ready! Maybe I can even sneak in a midnight showing?

I was hesitant at first as well. But now I am excited to see what it has to offer. If it can match Spidy 2, I will be happy.

I've never really liked Andrew Garfield as an actor (he always looks miserable) but I do love Spider-Man, and with reviews like that, I can't really say no.

I'm sure it'll be better than Star Wars Episodes 1 and 2, at least.

You've awakened the beast

Darth used to tell me of how much he hated Episode 2, and then went and gave it 8.7/10 in our rating threads.

Ridiculously torn about it. On the one hand I adore spider-man and loved the last movies.

On the other there was a spider-man movie just 5 years ago and yet we are already getting a reboot...... It is like a joke. I mean I find it hard to even be interested in this movie and what will undoubtedly be sequels when there is a chance they will simply be rebooted in a few years anyway. Not to mention that the longer Sony makes Spider-man movies the longer it is going to take for him to be part of the marvel cinematic universe. So it is inevitable that there will be another reboot at some point when marvel gets the license back.

I forget the exact specifics of it but there is some stipulation where when Marvel licensed it's franchises that after a certain amount of time if there wasn't clear progress on a movie the franchise reverted to marvel. Thus why you got things like a ghost rider sequel/reboot and a punisher reboot. As they had to make them or lose the licenses. Thus why when Spider-man 4 stalled in progress they scrambled into doing a reboot.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

Yes I will watch it. And thank god they replaced Tobey Maguire I hate him. Altough after Venom every enemy seems like a sissy

I'm so excited for it. I convinced the family to spend the 4th of July watching The Amazing Spider-Man.

Spiderman 2 was wonderful! Not sure if it could, but people forget the past easily. Sadly Sam Raimi basically used the same formula that he used in the second one for the third one and it fell flat. Plus there was just too much going on, and I did not like Spidey getting beat down so much at the end.

I heard a lot of things were forced down Raimi's throught in Spidey3. He did not want to include Venom for one. But yeah Spidey 3 was a mess.

I'm not sure what I should be more angry at, you entertaining the possibility that it may be better than The Glorious Menace & the Attack Of The Awesomness or you mentioning those rating threads that ended in major financial losses for our company.

@Mirson

AWESOME!!! Everyone should take the family...spidey is for everyone!

He wanted vulture instead.

Taking out Venom would've solved 85% of the problems with Spider-man 3.

We'd be getting a spider-man 4 now instead of this then.

@Zim

Marvel will never get Spidey back unless SONY goes bankrupt. They will make sure they keep making spidey movies.

Also The Avengers was gonna have the Oscorp building in it but SONY hadn't finished CGI work on it...so I think they may plan to still include this spidey into MCU...even if they don't I'm not too bothered

I thought the movie was pretty good. I thought it was on par with the first 2 previous spiderman movies. Emma stone was pretty hot as a blonde. I could have looked at her all day. I thought some of the action parts,were'nt as good as the previous movies,but they were pretty fun and entertaning. I give it 9/10.
