Why are people getting excited about this, its the same game, same graphics but only different controls.

They are excited because the first one didn't appear on the Wii, because this game has been announced as being more than just a port (with graphical and gameplay improvements) and because it will include all the DLCs.

What graphical and gameplay improvements? The only "improvement" I see is the new way of playing wit the tablet. Thats not an improvement. What DLC? Some challenge maps and Harley Quinns revenge wich is only 2 hours long?

Hey, don't kill the messenger. You asked and I answered.

The gameplay improvements are just that, the use of the gamepad. They (Rocksteady) call it improvements in the gameplay, others may call it just other way to play the game.

The graphical improvements seems to be better textures and more detail in some places. I'm not going to argue this because, as it has been  posted, there was a discussion about it on another thread.

Regarding the DLC, I don't know how many DLCs they have launched. From the looks of it, this "Armored Edition" is like a GOTY edition. Every content released, maps, suits, missions, etc. will be included.

Well there were some pictures and it looked the same as the PS3 version, there were even reports that the PS3 version looked better. http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/06/10/batman-arkham-city-looks-worse-on-wii-u-than-ps3/

Man calm down its kinda annoying that your trying to downplay the game on the wiiU if people are excited let them be.

Because not everyone has yet played this game.

Indeed. The fact that it's one of this generation's best games (imo of course ), doesn't hurt either.

Just like when Bioshock or Mass Effect 2 were announced for PS3, people (in this case Nintendo fans) are now excited to play an incredible game on their console, despite the fact that the game has been out on other sytems.

Heck, I've already played and beaten the game on the 360 (One sit-through, 13 hours straight... ), yet I for one will buy Armored Edition day 1 with my Wii U. Yep, the game is that good.

You calm down, I'm not downplaying anything. The graphics are almost identical, there is no revolutionary change.

So people are not allowed to be excited for a game?

I wonder if they will include the other Batman skins in this game. I am not a fan of look of the armored suit.

I've played the first batman game, but not this, really i can't decide if this or ACIII. Oh, man.

Why not both?

If that's impossible I would get AssCreedIII.

I'll be getting this game, for sure.

Have you guys checked detective mode on the gamepad? It's just what I expect from Metroid Wii U.
Looks fantastic.

Oh, please. Joker looks the same on both, and the other pic can't be compared because the suit is different as well as the lighting.

At least you could have chosen a better pic like this one:

See? Some things can be argued that look better on the PS3 version (background buildings), while other look better on the WiiU version, which also has more objects on screen (the flags and the airship).

That information is false. They resesigned those aspects and the Wii U version is obviously using focal blur in that particular scene on top of them not being at the same viewing angle. You can see far more of the drain on the PC based screeshots than on the Wii U and the lights on 3 windows on the building to the lower right of the tower are more more visible on the Wii U screen. This is another case of people trying to attribute difference with superiority/inferiority.

Not only is the tower in the center more detailed but the command center farther back in the distance is also far more detailed in the Wii U and visible in the Wii U version as well as the explosion being far more detailed with more objects in place. It also demonstrates a more detailed sky and improved weather effects. It would make no sense for them to drop the quality on the side building while not only enhancing those two building but increasing the draw distance as well(you would be able to see the command tower in the back as clearly if the draw distance wasn't improved) on top of adding extra objects to the scene like that light that is shining up at the building on the left.

Focal blur puts focus on everything in the center of the screen while making things around it look less detailed and/or blurry as if you were focusing with a camera.
