Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo can never seem to satisfy fans

Nintendo may have a golden touch per se, but the only way I can see myself interested in yet another adult-oriented (supposedly) RPG is if it rewards the player for virtually every aspect of the game (basically Xenoblade on steroids with a darker plot). Or they do something completely crazy and unexpected to the point where I can't help but appreciate it.

Fair, but this isn't about what you like really but what the gamer community at large would like. That's why I asked what do you think, what do you think the community at large would like.

I still think a game Nintendo needs is a Third Person Shooter just to prove to Third Parties that it can succeed on a Nintendo Platform

And Miyamoto already wants to try that.

Miyamoto makes things happen so it will happen.

Tactical party-based gameplay made possible by the Wii U GamePad. With robust cooperative and perhaps competitive multiplayer features. Fun powers to mess around with whenever you're not embroiled in a major conflict. Oh, and party members die permanently due to failed strategy, not because the player didn't love them enough (though I wouldn't be opposed to some sort of romance/trust system).

So basically I'm hoping that RPG fans would appreciate deep, compelling gameplay.

He is right Nintendo fans are weird. Nintendo had a decent press conference and showed a lo things Nintendo fans care about. But you have to understand, they can´t show new IP´s when they are not developing ones. Altough it was a stupid move not to reveal the Wii U specs at least. Bu maybe they are no confident enough with this product.

I think they are developing some new ip's

IP singular not plural

Its about damn time if its true, I just hope it wont be a platformer. Nintendo need a real RPG or a good Third Person Shooter.

Yeah I guess I should have said one not some but I can't remember If I heard of any other new ip's being made. Well Miyamoto said he was interested in making a first person shooter although he said he doesn't have the time and it probably wouldn't be bloody

and they already have good RPG's Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, and more. What do you consider a real RPG?

a classical RPG for the west . Xenoblade is an waesome game but it will never 1 million copies. Nintendo needs some big time RPG that could could sell 2.5mill but a Third Person shooter would be saver way to go.

They should ask Capcom to revieve Megaman

I've been fairly happy with Nintendo since the launch of the Wii and DS Lite; it was more during the GameCube and a little during the N64 eras that I was usually disappointed. The output from Nintendo and Rare was excellent on N64, but third party support was non-existant; Nintendo first, second, and third party support on GameCube was putrid.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

@AndrewWK I agree they should revive Megaman *cough Megaman Legends 3 cough*

@ Jumpin I had the most fun with the Gamecube by far

The Gamecube is the best console ever
Metroid prime, Zelda WW and Resident evil series say hi

I haven't purchased a Nintendo console since the cube because they refuse to come out with new IP's. I got burned out of Mario, Zelda and Metroid past the Gamecube era. What hes saying is bullshit. Sony pumps out more first party than they do on a yearly basis to the point where I must give my wallet a rest. New experiences are what people want not just new hardware.

P.S.

Anyone expecting Nintendo to make mature titles is retarded. All I want from them are new IP's and they refuse to do it.

Mature =/= Adult themed
Burned out of Metroid after 2 games, and you sure buy EVERY Uncharted, GoW..etc? Weird
