I just got the game a few hours ago. I am really liking it. So far I just conquered my fourth kingdom so I haven't really gotten far. The diffcultly is spot-on and the game is easy to get into.

Game Informer has it at 7/10, dragging the score down to 84. I'm not interested in Pokemon games, so I don't care, but their reasoning is a little strange.

"Pokémon Conquest takes the Pokémon you know and recognize (and love?) and places them into the world of tactical turn-based strategy with little kicking and screaming. Unfortunately, its simplicity will turn away tactical purists, and its complexity and management demands will turn off fans of the traditional Pokémon RPG.

So, is the game simple and complex at the same time or do I misunderstand something here?

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
