I gave this game an 8 in the poll but the more I think about it I'm leaning more towards a 6.

Positives-
-The gameplay is fun and addictive and I get a real feeling of battle especially when I'm taking on large groups of enemies.
- The third Act keep section is epic and it reminds a bit of the siege in Lord of the rings. And appropriately I was playing with a wizard lol.
- The cinematics in this game are stunning and it kills me that Blizzard/Activision won't make a proper CGI movie.
- Music and voice acting in this game is mostly great.
- The social aspect of this game is great and I have had a lot of fun playing with friends.

Negatives

-Always online is fine when playing multiplayer but there should be a separate offline mode in the same way that Diablo 2 worked. I understand that they want to reduce piracy however they are just punishing loyal paying customers and losing mindshare with their approach.

- Voice chat option is missing and I have resorted to using other programs which do the job but a shame nonetheless that this was not incorporated in the game.
- Dialogue and story were somewhat lower than the standard that Blizzard had set up to this point.
- Weekly maintenance and sometimes on consecutive days is annoying and it doesn't help that characters cannot be migrated to other regional servers.
- The game was way too short.
- Blizzard has taken out one thing which I loved about Diablo 2 and that is a true ability to build powerful custom builds and has made this game even more dependent on gear. Sadly I suspect this is due to the fact that they want to get people to spend real money on gear. I now feel the game has been too simplified as a result.
- Constant nerfing of characters is truly annoying especially considering people invest countless hours to collect the right gear for a build and all of a sudden their hard work is undone.
- No unified battlenet Achievement score is in place. I now have SC2 and D3 achievements which are not counted together.

There are more things both good and bad but these are a few things that come to mind.

My friend LOVED Diablo 3. Thought everyone who disliked it was crazy.

Then the real cash store came out and he returned it.

Said the inflated prices to ridiculous levels ruined it for him.

and a link to this web comic to explain how he felt.

Oh man, completely forgot about this one. Thankfully, I missed the wave of inital nerfs for DHs, Wizs and Monks, but the incoming Increased Attack Speed nerf is really ticking me off, especially since they haven't given an exact value or how they're going to nerf IAS.

I suspect that they're going to make Life on Hit or any kind of Life Steal completely useless, as Damage to Health % is already useless on Inferno.

AMAZING GAME!!!

By the way... is there PVP in diablo 3 and I just don't know it?

Cause, I don't understand the nerfs and rebalancing if there isn't.

What's the point?

Quoting a famous phrase by Blizzard, PVP "will be done when it's done". There isn't PVP and there's no date as to when it's coming out, all that we know is that it's going to be Arena based and have a gear check so you get paired with similar gear players.

The point of the nerfs is because they don't want a lot of people finishing or farming Inferno on Act IV, because that would ruin the RMAH purpose.

oh yeah... duh.  Should of figured.

Just so used to old games where classes with differening powerlevels were a "GAME FEATURE" more then a flaw.

Nah, in Blizz eyes, the only flaw on DIII is pretty much that players are actually able to finish Inferno. Oh well, i'm pretty sure they'll "hotfix" the drop rates in the future so we start seeing less and less useful class items.

Bosses have already been nerfed to oblivion, elites are next.

I didn't get it cuz there were a lot of people that hated it, and that kind of strayed me away from it, especially considering I haven't played a Diablo game before

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Save yourself precious money and go buy Diablo 2 instead. It is in fact much better.
