You can restrict your game to friends only and even start the game single player only. I beat the game yesterday with my Level 26 barbarian and I think this game is really good. Not perfect by any means, but really really good. Hell, I got the game friday at 12 and 24 hours later I already had 13 hours of playtime on this. I think thats pretty good for a handheld game. My overall most played game is super mario 3d land with 21h since january lol.

Edit: Also, Kylie Dog, you seem to think that its the games fault that the Internet is full of douchebags. Furthermore, as far as I remember, you can't start a quest until everybody is at the same place (quest giver) and everybody gets the reward when someone completes it, so I don't understand your problem. There ARE failsaves in place to prevent somebody from getting left behind and if you play with strangers its normal that they do not wait for anybody unless they absolutely have to.

Well at the time I said that, the only guys that talked to me where spanish people, and spanish is always a blurry mess for me, no matter the quality of the transmission^^ (I had 3 years spanish in school, which means I don't understand a damn thing)

Yesterday I played with a friend to play around with the alliance system and the voicechat quality is pretty amazing. I feared it would have Wii speak quality, which means steaming pile of crap quality, but its really good. You can even talk to each other in the loading screens, which surprised me.

Judging form the video it looked quite good... Until that ridiculous walking shark appeared. Was it meant to be fearsome or funny?

Have you thought of trying offline to get the hang of it? That's what I did, and I was fine after about 15 minutes of single-player...

This game sounds awesome. I plan on getting it as soon as it comes out, but I have a bit of a problem. I have no 3DS friends, (sad face). Can we start some sort of thread to have co-op games in this? Diablo is an obsession of mine, and it is always better with 4 people. This game looks friggin epic.
