Look at the first page and search for my first comment and the guy that kept on arguing with me. If you found it wait for my next instructions.

How funny are you, you yourself now cause the derailment you oh so hate.

Desperate times call for drastic measures, another case where you fail to apply common sense.

I watch you do this kind of thing over and over, and I say nothing, but this time somebody needs to tell you.

---------

Your first comment was irritating to a Nintendo fan: "Who would want to download WiiU games anyway?"

and then the horrible explaination: "WiiU has only 8GB storage. With only 1 game your WiiU is full, and it has not to be games like Mass Effect 3 wich are 15GB."

The guy who answered you was Roma, and he like I is annoyed that people are so ignorant concerning things Nintendo.

---------

Instead of living in your little "bubble", your little generation, why don't you catch up with the times and get smart, get informed.

Dude thats pretty pathetic, stop getting so emotional. We were having a perfect conversation here. Until you sticked your nose in and focused on me and told  me to fuck off.  As you can see in the first page I was not the only one people replied to, people also commented on thetonestarr. The discussion between me and thetonestarr that followed was about HDD prices in PS3s. So no, I didnot create the derailment like you claim. And you yourself should stop derailing this thread. You get smart and get informed. Accusing me of derailing this thread and getting an emotional breakdown while provoking and harassing me "throwing a bone".

i think it's better to have a console without hdd and one with so people can decide if they want a console for 50 bucks more or so with hdd or not. i prefer to get the one without and use what i already own because it is less expensive for me then. if people like to buy a console with incuded hdd good for them, i think using a 1.5tb drive which i already own and use 1/4 of that for my console is much cheaper for me than having a console with build in 375gb and 50 bucks higher price then (after some years, the launch consoles would maybe cost 100 bucks more because of the hdd)

but i don't know if this is possible for nintendo, they would have to buld the console a little bit different then which woud maybe be a bigger console then.

It's a questione that i made myself before reading an article.

I'm quite disappointed to see that people think that hardcore goes with graphics and the also next-gen goes with graphics.

For me the WiiU is next-gen because introduces an old way of play, the GamePad, in a totally new way, the screen and the in build double screens.

This is next-gen because never before you could play a game with the TV on OFF, also you totally have a console that has every game on digital support, on retail copy and on digital support by retailers, that's pretty new too.

Next-gen means that the whole system works differently from the previous one, hardcore it's not a term for console also, not alone at least, you can only give that term by mentioning games that are not kids stuff or really easy even for a 3 to 7 years old.

That's what i always thinked about games, i made my opinion playing the SNES and now that the GamePad is coming, in such an innovation, that's what i will call next-gen also: innovation.

And now also a question: are you sick of people not understanding this or you are one of 'em?

Arkanie, the way I see it is that a generation is generally defined by two things. 1) Improved capabilities on previous gen, and 2) timing.

For example, if the WiiU didn't improve on the Wii, would there be any reason for it to exist, really? After 6 years of being on market, you'd think that there was something at least a tad superior to the predecessor at a similar if not better price. So 1) is important.

2) The timing is fundamental. It doesn't matter how novel your device is, what matters is at what point in video gaming history did it appear, and what does that era define or how is it define.

As such, there is no way to say the WiiU is not next gen, as it mark the start of  a new era in gaming, i.e. the 8th generation.

The definition of generations may  change as the technology and market evolves, but for now, gens typically last 5 to 10 years, and right now the new one is dawning on us.

The Nintendo WiiU is next-gen because...is the next generation of Nintendo consoles...dont you get tired of this guys?

Easy... because the Wii U is Nintendos 8th gen console... simple as that.

It is next gen, it's just that the hardware and/or graphic capabilities might not be enough for some people to call it next gen. Because some people use hardware specs and qualifications for next gen.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

It's next gen, because of the better graphics, better online (hopefully...), more capabilities and new ways to play than the current gen.

Can we PLEASE stop the WiiU threads, please? This is getting ridiculous. If you don't want one, don't get one. Simple as.

And we don't even know if the rumours about specs and the flash drive are true. So why don't we just wait until we play it ;)

(Note- Not directed at anyone in particular, just general)

This guy is supporting the fact that Wii U is next-gen. So, I personally have no problem with it. Just the ones that say otherwise.
