This is a repost, but it answers what your asking
I liked a lot of what they showed, though they ended somewhere I did not want them too, and perhaps that is what leaves the more negative impression. I stayed on watching the NintendoLand stuff and the other stuff and it looked good, fun for the target (of which I would be with a family and two children as well). I did want more, I wanted much more, but there is more to come. There is another conference tonight that will cover hardware aspects, and there are things coming that I know are coming.
I am primarily a PC gamer these days, infact my PC melts most other computers around, using 3x24 monitor setup at home, etc, etc, but the Wii U has me excited for the console again which I am happy to be. One of the greatest features? Playing that game on the tablet when the TV is occupied, that is absolutely the best and one of the biggest problems that occur when I want to get some time in on a game, now the kids get their stuff, the wife gets her stuff, and if I still feel like playing the Wii U, boom, no problem.
