PS3 needs it much more. It's $250 and it came out 6 years ago. That's messed up.

Wouldn't make sense to cut the price now. Closer to the WiiU launch and the holiday season would have a larger impact.

I think they should wait for a price drop until WiiU comes out. Would be a good way to screw over your competition.(:

i hope so i am planning to upgrade to ps3 slim so a price cut is more than welcome,and it probably will happen! can't wait to see what Sony is planning.

there has to be a price cut. ps3 is like 6 years old and it still hasnt hit $199. they must be making a profit on ps3 at $250, so a price cut wont really effect them too much. they may be in financial trouble but ps3 cant stay $250 forever.

The PS3 is the best selling console Worldwide now, but if they cut the price they might lower the gap in NA and UK(damn britts). I suppose it would be a good thing.

Not going to happen. Sony can't go back to losing money on PS3 sales when they only just started to break even. Besides, since when do retailer specific promotes have anything to do with official price cuts?
