I would say it isn't worth your money. The crux of the problem is that the game is entirely cliche. There does come a time when another derivative copy is just unwarranted. This game plays exactly the same as its predecessors, and the added elements are micro management at its worst. You will most assuredly find them to be tedious, and worse yet you will probably find the core play tedious. This game is just a mindless repetition of everything you have done countless times before, and as such you will find that it is indeed boring now. Basically you already have this game in your library, and twenty bucks is too much to pay for some added cut scenes.

I own this game, and must confess that after about ten hours of playing I couldn't summon the will to continue. If you have played the previous games. This game would be considered a overdose. At this point it is just altogether mindless. If you are really thirsting for more of the same your still better off just playing one of the previous three titles, because lets face it a penny saved is a penny earned.

I am burned out on this series, and am completely done with playing the games. I have no interest at all in the next title, or with anything else the developer is making. I think the worst thing isn't a game being bad, because even then you come away with something. No the worst thing is for a game to be completely boring. There is also one more consideration. Even if you aren't burned out. There is a good chance this game will burn you out on the franchise. Which means you probably won't be able to stomach the next installment.

For me I'm just bored of assassins creed, I finished brotherhood and waited for revelations to drop in price I got it and could only play about 2-3 hours before getting bored to the point I'm not even excited about AC3.

Significant to the storyline? No not at all. It does provide story for the characters of Ezio and Altair though. The main story of the AC universe is pretty much entirely ignored. In fact a pretty hefty chunk of the game is either tutorial missions or only related to goings on in that city. 

It's an okay game but BY FAR the weakest out of the console versions. I would say AC2 >> AC:B >>>>> AC >>>> AC:R

AC:R has the worst story by far, some of the worst gameplay elements (Desmond, Den Defense etc etc) and depressingly the absolute worst city. There's no variety at all. No countryside, barely any different areas of the city, no horses etc etc. It seems like since AC2 the series has been going backwards in this regard. 

The good things is it's still the great core gameplay and some of the missions themselves are very well done. 

That bad huh. You make this game seem like a chore though. Also 10 hours...you could easily finish the single player in that time. Oh well hope this game doesn't turn you off from gaming. Doing same old things with new cutscenes. 

I thought i was the only one tired of AC series i haven't enjoyed one since AC II maybe AC 3 will change my opinion

No just watch the ending, and if AC3 got released watch its ending too , and you will realize why you should never buy these shameless cliffhanger games

and also the fact that you can win the whole game by just countering ALL the Templars by just standing there, with hidden blades, it's a standing simulator.

I can't say. I played about two hours a few months back and it didn't draw me in the way the last three games did. Maybe it felt too much like Brotherhood, too soon after I played it.Though I love Brotherhood, I didn't need more right now with so many other games I'm trying to get to. But $20 is a great price.

Of course it is worth $20 if you are not tired of the series due to the yearly releases. I would rate the series like this: Brotherhood >>>AC2>Revalations>AC.

The city is the smallest and it feels like they were trying to just complete Ezio's story and add some background to Nolan North's/Desmond's story. The tower defense game is boring and the trophies/ achievements are harder to get and more boring. The city is really bright and fun, and it has a better latter half than the first half. I would say it is a must buy for $20 if you like the series. It is just Ubisoft's laziest installment.

For $20 yes.

It has a lot of brotherhood style in it, however, the story isn't as good and there is a lot of repetitive stuff that should not have been added to the game.

But, its worth $20 and the time to complete the main game.

I want Brotherhood and Revelations but I'm still working on Assassins Creed II. It's a good series.
