I actually haven't seen Chronicle... but I intend on it. Only heard good things. But your other movies all above Avengers simply are not OVERALL as good.

TDK has a better/deeper story and especially a better single characterization (Joker) than anything else. However Avengers has many SOLID and in the case of Hulk, the best characterization of the ... characters. Its story is good and the action/comedy simply make it a better overall entertaining movie.

X-MenFC and Iron man are about equal to me. While they were both really well done, they are not only below Avengers and TDK as overall appeal, but probably below Spiderman1/2 as well.. are at least really close.

Chronicle I haven't seen. However using pure unequaled 2nd hand information... its just not deserving of a top 5 placement. Sin city was a good movie as well, but still no where near top 5.

When a movie can literally force people into watching it 3 or 4 times in the first week it releases... you have to recognize that its something special here. The way all of the characters intertwined and worked with or against each other is pure entertainment and what makes this the best there is.

Avatar is the number one movie of all time.  Titanic is number two.  Just sayin'.

It's just my opinion, Lord Chunkington.  No big deal.

dark knight crushes this movie in every aspect only not in comedy

still great movie better then any previous marvel movie

lol, its not about money made, my point on seeing it multiple times is just the pull that this movie is having on viewers.

Avatar is worse that many movies out there, many that made far less money.

wtf.... there is almost no comedy in TDK. Story and emotion... yes, TDK wins... comedy/action/all characters combined... Avengers tops TDK.

Huge comics fan, here. I liked the movie a lot, mostly because I like any story where a bunch of Superheroes with different personalities come together. That's why I used to love team books so much. Just the character dynamics alone would wow me. This movie had that. I liked how it was pretty faithful to the comics when it came to who got along with who and who was respected.

Probably my favorite part was when Cap faced off with Loki early in the movie. I was thinking to myself, "That's just what Captain America would do." Yeah, he always has a plan and a way to win, but whenever a despot is ranting and trying to subjugate people, Cap can't help but walk up to them and punch them in the face!

It was a fun movie with some great moments and a cool culmination of a good experiment but, in the end, it was pretty forgettable. Aside from a lot of great characters in one place, the story was pretty weak. If I watch it again (and I will), I'll likely tear the movie a new ass by asking "Why did he do this? Why didn't he just do that?" As a comic come to life, I gotta say that it almost did everything that I wanted it to--especially the super-hero face offs like Hulk vs. Thor or Iron Man vs. Thor. The story just needed more time in the oven. Just seeing all of the heroes in one place will make it my favorite Marvel movie but X-Men First Class is easily a better package.

Good comic brought to life. Great fun for a summer blockbuster. Kind of weak as a movie. Again, coming from a HUGE comic geek.

My qualm with the movie is similar, mostly because i didn't buy the alien invasion bit (or rather that Loki was commanding the aliens).

If they had brought in, say, the Masters of Evil, or even the Kree or the Skrulls, that would have been something.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The Dark Knight is better and so is X-Men 2.

Honestly though I was more impressed with the effects in The Chronicle over Avengers even though I hate that type of "mockumentary" movie and it was fairly predictable.

The aliens were the Skrulls actually. They used an alternate name (Chintauri I think) because the Skrulls are more associated with the Fantastic Four and Fox owns the rights to those characters.

What? There's lots of comedy tied to the joker. It's not often you remember a joke from a movie many years after seeing it (magic trick).

I actually misread his orginal statement, but I did say *almost* no comedy. There were a couple good comments from joker.
