like i said most of them are unannounced for ps3,or arent exclusive

Pretend this is two years from now. The Wii price has dropped considerably (let's say 180) and the ps3 has dropped to (250) . When they see a bunch of games that they recognize on the ps3 that were on the ps2, would they choose a PS3 over Wii? After all, it is just a 70 dollar difference. When they see the same old franchises from 20 years ago as games on the Wii, will they choose a Wii over a ps3?

So the PS3 would be at less than half of its initial price, and the Wii wouldn't even be at half of its price?

Let me tell you something, if that does happen in two years it means that the Wii is still selling out (or at least selling fantastically) at $180. If Wii demand drops, all Nintendo has to do is drop another $50 off the price, and watch it sell great again.

When they decide to buy a new console, i think it's safe to say that they will research which console is a better buy for them.  What games, you know most people didn't buy GTA or MGS, you're on VGC you should know that, most of the games that sell are the casual stuff, and the shovelware, they'll see all that stuff on the Wii

 Both have the playstation name and the big titles, but it isn't the big titles that sell to most people, not its the causal games that sell, the company that wins the causals will win everything, and Nintend has the iron grip on that market

WE ARE TALKING ABOUT GENERATIONS, NOT total SALES.

if you like 310 mln. then PS1+PS2+psp = 250 mln. that of`ofcourse 20% less then 310 mln. but still A LOT. You know? =))

WE SPEAK ABOUT previous generation PEOPLE jumping from ps2/xbox/gc to ps3/x360/wii.
Don`t you understand THAT???

And YES, of`course wii will get NEW users, which haven`t played consoles before(attracted with controls), so will and PS3(attracted with amazing graphics).

However, while wii appeal to casuals that don`t care about graphics, PS3 will appeal to NEW casual base, which will see amazing PS3 graphics and will want to get PS3. I`m talking about this stuff - http://www.gametrailers.com/player/28974.html
Overall PS3 and Wii will end with pretty close numbers LTD.

well for one the price of wii and ps3 will not be that close,and two like i said most of them are multi-plat which could help the 360 the most with all the games,and it seems wii is stealing the awesome japanese games that ps2 had,so you never know
